Charlene Tucker is driven to achieve her goal of becoming a pediatrician, but her rigorous schedule is beating her down. She needs a break from academia, and perhaps pursuing a one-night stand with her hot Italian neighbor will help her relax and re-focus.

Theo Risso enjoys being in control. Tying women up and having them at his mercy is his ultimate obsession. Flirting with Charlene stimulates and challenges his carefree attitude, but his determination to be a good neighbor subjugates his need to dominate her.

A blizzard tamps out the electricity, but not their desire, and being snowed in together provides the perfect setting for Charlene’s plan…chase Theo until he succumbs to his own need to take control, to bind her body, and free her mind. Passions run high and tempers will clash as Charlene’s pursuit challenges Theo’s willpower to resist. But will her need for control threaten her ability to surrender herself to him?

Excerpt

Theo obviously liked how I looked. He’d enjoyed an eyeful of my bra-less chest and he’d also taken a sudden interest in my lips. I licked the lingering droplet of wine off the upper while lowering my glass. Time to get things moving. “So.”

He lifted his gaze, brow quirked. “So.”

“Why’d you agree to come over tonight?”

Theo’s sexy smirk sent flutters through my stomach. “I enjoy making you laugh. Helping you remember there’s life outside of your life’s goal.”

“Is that all?”

He nodded and tipped up his glass, not taking the time to savor the dry, oaken flavor.

My entire body tingled with the thought success was in reach. “Why didn’t you sit over here with me?”

Theo peered at me with his dark eyes. Fathomless and unreadable. “Because you’re on a mission.”

For the second time since he’d arrived, laughter bubbled from me. “I am.”

“And according to you, you always succeed.”

“I do.”

He studied the wine while swirling it in the glass. “I sat over here to thwart your plans.”

I narrowed my eyes as I studied his face. “Why?”

“You don’t need any distractions right now.”

Spine stiffening, I lifted my chin. “Or perhaps that’s exactly what I need right now.”

“Not my kind of distraction.”

His gaze latched onto me, and finally—finally—heat I’d dreamed of simmered in his stare. I fought the strange desire to lower my eyes. “I never back down. Ever.”

His coy smirk sent a rush of moisture straight south to slick my panties. “You should.”

“Oh?” I allowed my smile to grow and rubbed a fingertip along my shirt’s drooping neckline. His attention swung downward. “And why’s that?”

“You’re messing with fire.” He lifted his gaze and scorched me with the lust in his black eyes.

Fire? Oh yeah. My body ignited, and burning need swelled between my thighs and settled into my clit. I got up and set my wine glass on the coffee table while moving around it—all without breaking eye contact. Focused on his face, I peered down at him from between his legs. “I can handle a little heat.

Sigmund Bermudez has spent the last year out of the BDSM scene, mourning his father, and rebuilding the family business. When he loses a bet to his bodyguard that Madame Eve won’t locate a woman who’s down with his type of kink, he finds himself committed to a date he’s not sure he’ll enjoy.

Lauren Elser has heard about kinky escapades from one of her more challenging patients, and never taken part in one. When offered a chance to explore this undiscovered side of herself courtesy of 1Night Stand she jumps at it.

Neither of them are prepared for the emotional roller coaster that comes with their date, and soon shibari bondage play turns into so much more. The only problem is Sig’s not ready to open up and Lauren doesn’t want to be sued again. If they work past the issues there’s a world of wonder in store.

With her limbs tied, her chest wrapped in blue nylon… the sight of those ropes did something to her insides, and she bucked upward. “Yes. Now your hands.”

She wanted his tanned skin against her pale white. Those fingers and palms back on the pearls he’d complimented moments before.

Her limited verbal plea worked because his palms brushed over both peaks. A moan escaped her and she cried, “Please.”

His head came low then, the visual blocked by his hair, but she felt everything. Hot mouth replacing skin, teeth grazing. The seconds dragged on with the administered torture and pleasure to not one, but both of her nipples. Then he whispered, “Do you want me to touch other places?”

She nodded, and a feral smile replaced his neutral expression.

Hot, callused skin connected with hers, sliding down her stomach, past her waist, and heading for the juncture between her thighs. More adventures led her to waxing earlier in the day, and she had a perfect landing strip, trimmed for this occasion. Not that she’d planned on this, but she’d hoped.

“I don’t normally do this.” One hand slipped between lace and flesh.

She shivered. “Then I’m the lucky one.”

A single digit glided over her clitoris and flicked the nub. Panting became her natural state like a dog, and she didn’t dare move for fear he’d stop. Another finger joined the fray, tracing the outside of her labia minora— holy hell! She’d reverted to high school biology terms. The slow movements, the careful exploration, made her crazy. The urge to scream, to cry out for penetration sat so close to the surface and the best way to stow the impulse involved reviewing what he did to her, how he did it.

Finally, he plunged both fingers inside at once and she let out a cry, some insane mewling noise. Her orgasm grew closer. Closer than she expected, but John had been right— delayed gratification increased the satisfaction.

He moved quickly, pumping in and out while tweaking her nipples. The pressure rose, a coiling sensation in her lower back and abdomen preceding the coming eruption, like a balloon ready to explode. She tugged at her bindings, straining against them and loving the burn, the pain they left while the peak rose higher.

As she crested, she called out “John!”

“No,” he said, his voice guttural and rough. “Call me Sig.”

Before she could ask what the hell? her release rushed forth, her legs jolting against the ties and moisture coating the fingers inside her. Eyesight blurred momentarily, the force stronger than ever before but all too soon reality came seeping back in. The name in her mind, the name she’d called, wasn’t real? “Who’s Sig?”

“I am.” He stared her straight in the eyes. The words were true and she felt exposed, manipulated, and embarrassed.

“Red.”

BLURB

Valerie Garfield has loved her boss, Grayson Jensen, CEO of Jensen Software and Web Development, for two years. They had a fling that lasted six months and ended when Valerie told Grayson she loved him, but he didn’t want the same things from their relationship that she did. Now, he wants another chance to prove he’s a changed man and only wants Valerie.

As they work side by side toward uncovering the names of more hackers, can Valerie fight her feelings, or will she end up with a broken heart once again?

Grayson is part of a group of friends financing the efforts to put a stop to The Madeline Project. The program now has a mind of its own, thanks to a virus called Tommy Twister. These men have power, resources, and money, but they’re as ruthless and possessive as the storms ravaging Earth.

They call themselves the Weathermen…

EXCERPT

The look in his eyes nearly took her breath away. A combination of lust and uncertainty filled them, and all she wanted to do was fall into his warm, strong arms and let the memories of their six months together become part of her reality once more. He was so familiar, but everything had now changed between them.

“I’m not assuming anything tonight. I only wanted to tell you that I had an amazing time, and you look … you look so damn beautiful, Valerie. Thank you for this. All of this. I won’t make you regret giving me another chance.”

“Thank you for trusting me with the company secrets.” She was too overwhelmed to say anything else.

“I don’t want to talk about work.”

“What would you like to talk about?”

She could feel the heat coming off his body in waves. His expression turned almost desperate, and she hated that. She didn’t want to torture the poor guy, especially since it was obvious they both wanted the same thing.

“Never mind,” she said, stepping closer. “Talking is overrated.” Valerie kissed him, tentatively at first, but she needn’t have worried whether she’d read him wrong. He captured her mouth in a kiss so damn hot she was surprised the carpet under their feet didn’t catch fire.

He moved his hands from her shoulders to her face, cupping it so tightly it almost hurt. She moaned into his open mouth, letting it all happen. The sensations racing through her were both familiar and fresh, probably because she hadn’t had sex in forever. It didn’t matter why. All she knew was that it felt so damn right, and she didn’t want to be anywhere else.

Grayson released her mouth and moved to her neck, planting soft kisses up and down it. “Valerie … oh my God, it feels so fucking good to kiss you again.”

“I can hardly breathe right now.”

He gazed into her eyes. “In a good way, right? I mean, you’re okay with this.”

“Yes, Grayson. Absolutely.” Before she lost her nerve, Valerie dropped her bag on the floor and reached around to unzip her dress. He stepped back, a drop-dead sexy grin on his face as she let the garment fall to the floor. She stepped out of it, and then removed her sandals and stood in front of him clad only in a lacy half bra and panties that matched the dress.

“Keep going.”

His voice was gruff and commanding, and it sent shivers up and down her spine. She unhooked the bra and let it fall, then slid off the panties. She’d been naked in front of him before so that was nothing new, but she swore she couldn’t remember him gazing at her like this. As if she was a precious gem he’d just dug out of the rock himself, and no one had ever seen anything like it.

She had to blink back tears while his gaze traveled slowly over her body. He didn’t touch her, which was even more arousing. When he finally did reach for her, gently, as if she might break if he wasn’t careful, she moaned loudly and threw herself into his arms.

Valerie had always enjoyed making love to Grayson. He was skilled and he knew it. She’d always found that confidence very sexy. This felt different on his part. Or maybe she’d just been away from it too long?

He kissed her again, shoving his tongue into her mouth while his hands ran down her back, then over her ass, and finally came up to cup her breasts. He rolled her nipples between his thumbs and forefingers the way she loved, then grasped her ass again and smacked each cheek, hard.

She pulled away from the kiss, her clit throbbing now. “Oh God. You know how much I always loved it when you spanked me.”

“Too bad I didn’t bring my favorite flogger along on the trip.”

She giggled, her arousal rising to crazy heights. “We’ll have to improvise.”

“Maybe later.” He pulled her close again. “Right now if I don’t get inside you, I’m going to fucking explode.”

Ghosts of Emerald Bay (Revenant Investigations #3) by Libby Bishop

Ghosts-of-emerald-bay-evernightpublishing-feb2016-series-large-3drender

Kate Briar is enjoying her vacation when her boss calls her to the office about a job. As head researcher for Revenant Investigations—a paranormal investigation team—she’s unsure why he sounds so wary about her taking the case. After all, there’s very few people in Noble, Maine she’d refuse to work with. She’s even more uncertain about his hesitation when he announces that the case is one she’s dreamed of since she was a teenager. That is, until he tells her who she’ll be working with.

Murphy O’Keefe is a well-known legend hunter. He chases the legends of the dead for profit. Kate used to be good friends with him, and they were growing much closer before he betrayed her. She was helping him with a case when she woke up one morning to find all of her research and all of the artifacts she’d found gone—she hasn’t seen him since.

To keep things civil, she offers him a truce, not wanting to spoil the importance of the new case. But she doesn’t realize the turmoil of anger and attraction that truce will ignite. Nor that her fate is directly in the hands of the man that broke her heart.

Excerpt

Sitting at his desk, Folger leaned his forearms against it and folded his hands together. “I’ll start by telling you the investigation is at the Norling Lighthouse.”

Excitement sparked within her at the name, and she couldn’t help but smile wide. “Folger! I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to investigate Norling since I was a teenager.”

Folger chuckled. “I know, which is why you’d be the perfect person for the job.”

“Exactly what does the client want?” The lighthouse was known to be haunted by three different ghosts, but it was rumored to be connected to the pirates who came through Noble during the summer months.

“The interest is in the ghost who walks the lighthouse, but the other ghosts should be noted as well. The most important thing for him, our client, is to find the lighthouse keeper’s journal, because he believes it’s somehow connected the pirate legend.”

The joy that was coursing through her drained away, and dread took its place. She understood now why both he and Arabella had kept the client’s name from her—it wasn’t a Noble resident. Their client was a legend-hunter: a person who hunted myths of the dead for profit.

“Kate, look at me.”

She met Folger’s gaze, which was filled with understanding.

“It’s Murphy O’Keefe.”

Her throat went dry and refused to work. Murphy was the one person on the face of the planet she never wanted to see again. Their last encounter was so engrained into memory, all she had to do was think about it and she was right back there in the moment, feeling the anger at his betrayal all over again.

“He has presented enough facts to the town council they’ve agreed to allow him to dig deeper into the lighthouse keeper, who, as you know, is the one haunting the lighthouse itself.” Folger leaned back in his chair. “They had a stipulation—Revenant Investigations is to send someone with him to document the investigation and help him search. They asked specifically for you since you know the history of the lighthouse and the pirates better than all of Noble, save Doyle,” he was the head of the Historical Society, “—but if you don’t want to do this, I’ll understand.”

Kate took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. She swallowed hard, the motion near painful. “Does he,” she cleared her throat, “have to be at the lighthouse? Can I investigate by myself or with another team member?”

Folger shook his head. “No. He has to be there—it was his stipulation. However, if you feel it necessary to bring in another member of the team, that’s what will be done.”

Kate crossed her legs, wondering what to do. This case was a dream case for her. She practically begged the Historical Society every year to let her go in for even just one night. But to deal with Murphy? She’d trusted him as a friend and teammate before she started with Revenant and he’d betrayed her. Gutted her, to be more exact. But still, the Norling Lighthouse…

What if she never got another chance to investigate?

“He can’t run with the goods, so to speak? He has an ironclad agreement with the council?”

Folger handed her a piece of paper. “I have the entire document on file, but that’s really all you need to see.”

She began to read it, very carefully.

“In summary, it states that Murphy cannot use any of the findings for profit. That includes documents, journals, jewelry, or any other historical artifact relating to the pirates of Emerald Bay and those who dwelled in the lighthouse, or once dwelled where the lighthouse and the keeper’s house now stand.”

That’s exactly what the paper she was holding stated. She’d read it four more times before handing it back to Folger. “No profit.”

“Not a penny. All he’ll receive is credit for helping find anything we don’t already know for a fact. He can’t even sell the story, Kate—Noble will control how everything will be announced and released.”

So Murphy would only get credit… Kate took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. “I’ll do it, Folger. I’ll take the case.”

Excerpt

Looking down at the petrified Josephine, Kieran rationally understood why she was nervous, but he didn’t care. Not one tiny bit.

The woman was an adult, after all. She wasn’t being forced—maybe ‘manipulated’ was the word—into the marriage. To hold back the feeling of pity creeping into his conscience, he remembered the look on her face when she saw his scars at their one meeting before the wedding. The repulsed reaction was just like all those women before her who trembled at his disfiguration, and reminded him that like those vapid bimbos, she was as superficial as them.

It was the main reason he felt little guilt in picking her purely based on looks. She’d been stunning as a sixteen-year-old girl and now six years later, she’d grown into her body and was absolutely beautiful. Her figure was something out of a 1950s pinup: smooth curves and dips, filling out in all the right places. Unbelievably fuckable.

Her skin was porcelain smooth with a few freckles across the bridge of her nose that looked a bit out a place on her alabaster skin yet gave her something unique. But it was her mouth that really killed him: luscious and pink, with a distinct curve along the upper lip that he wanted to lick. They looked permanently swollen and ever since their brief meeting to discuss the prenuptial agreement, he’d spend many a night imagining those lips wrapped around his hard cock. At least that hadn’t been damaged by the landmine.

Josephine’s innocence practically radiated off of her. Her father had informed Kieran that she’d attended a strict boarding school before returning home and now attended college through an online-learning program. Considering her father’s social standing, her isolation seemed suspect, but Kieran didn’t let himself dwell on it too much.

Kieran watched her lips now as she began to speak the words that committed her to the marriage. Committed her to him.

“I-I-I do.” The tremor in her voice was audible.

It was now time to kiss the bride, he heard the priest inform them, and he waited for the moment of revulsion to cross Josephine’s face as she turned to face him, just as it had two weeks ago. But all he saw was slight trepidation as she looked up into his eyes. Her gaze didn’t even wander across his face and onto the scars. She remained looking up at Kieran, focusing intently on his own hazel eyes. Why wasn’t she recoiling?

Irritated by the feelings of confusion her stoic stare caused in him, he wrapped one arm around her waist, whilst grasping the other behind her neck, and firmly pulled her flush against him. Leaning down, he smashed his lips against her perfect mouth. He stiffened as he felt her small hands grasp his biceps.

Kieran expected her to subtly try and push him off her, but inside she melted into his arms. Not only was she not pushing him away, she seemed to be willingly letting him draw her small, soft body against his own. She didn’t even stiffen in his grasp. Her hips pressed against him and as he pulled away from her mouth, he heard a faint sigh escape from her lush lips.

Almost as if she’d enjoyed it.

Aware of their location, he willed himself to step back. He released his wife from his grasp but moved to grasp her hand and turned to walk out of the church. Kieran glanced over at her, amazed to see that a flush had spread across her cheeks and neck. As if she’d relished his touch. No, it was impossible to think that she was anything but repulsed by him. After all, he was a monster.

Nothing more than a beast.

Feline Valentine by Tara Quan

Happy Valentine – and congratulations to Tara Quan on your new release!

Page-break-1

Banner_FelineValentine_TaraQuan

A year ago, I released Fireworks at Midnight, thinking I would leave the world of A Witch’s Night Out forever (I’d planned the series as a trilogy). Unfortunately, my characters had other plans. Since I’d sicced Madame Eve on her cat familiar, earth mage Shelley Dupree insisted I make things right. To be fair, I’d already given her a magical handicap, forced her under house arrest, and buried her in bills—taking away her feline companion did seem a cruel and unusual punishment.

It took me two months of fictional time to even the scales with Feline Valentine.  Part of Decadent Publishing’s 1Night Stand series, my interracial paranormal romance is set in Washington, D.C., where magic-wielding folk try to live alongside us pesky humans. It’s my first true “shifter” AND “foodie” romance (talk about ticking two boxes with one book), and a quick read of the blurb should tell you what I mean.

To celebrate this unexpected return to my favorite series, I’m giving away a $15 gift card. To enter, leave a comment here and drop your details in the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of this post [or at my website: http://www.taraquan.com/felinevalentine].

Cover_FelineValentine_TaraQuan

Under magical house arrest in her great-grandmother’s suburban cottage, college graduate and reluctant earth mage Shelley Dupree whiles away most mornings spying on the warlock next door. Though erotic daydreams offer some distraction, she faces long working hours, cash flow problems, and a repeat burglar. On Valentine’s Day, she sets a trap for the mysterious intruder, intent on ending his crime streak once and for all. But her scheming cat familiar foils her best-laid plans, and, with a little help from Madame Eve’s 1-Night Stand service, she discovers a far more dangerous species of magical feline.

After moving in next to a ramshackle building on the outskirts of Washington, D.C., pastry chef Adrien Chatdurois is plagued by repeat sexual fantasies starring the same curvy brunette. In a state of constant arousal, he devotes his early mornings to grueling exercise and spends the rest of his day handcrafting the city’s best chocolates. When his younger brother stirs up trouble on the shop’s busiest day, the frustrated shifter is forced to pay a surprise visit on his reclusive neighbor. He soon learns not all witches are wart-covered hags, and one in particular might prove the most delicious of desserts.

EXCERPT

“Stop hogging the binoculars. It’s my turn to ogle the warlock next door.”

Ignoring the high-pitched whine, Shelley Dupree zoomed in on a pair of sweat-slicked pecs. A prolonged spying session on her new neighbor seemed the perfect cure for Valentine’s Day doldrums. Though Dulcina, her best friend and cat familiar, could turn into an absolute pest when thwarted, the reward for tuning out her incessant requests superseded all risk. After all, Shelley needed to stock up on copious amounts of drool-worthy imagery. How else was a single witch on house arrest supposed to while away the most romantic night of the year?

Prolonged sexual frustration had long since warped her brain, part of the reason she couldn’t tear her gaze from the delicious male specimen on the other side of her crumbling wall. As she watched the man execute a strict pull-up over his doorjamb, her lips tingled. She imagined trailing them over his lightly tanned chest, pictured herself tracing those rippling muscles with slow, sipping kisses.

Her tongue darted to wet the corner of her mouth as she envisioned sliding her hands under the waistband of his red workout shorts. She’d fuel his arousal with teasing strokes before catching the fabric between her teeth and yanking the garment off.

His body lowered, filling her magnified view with a visage stunning enough to choke off her next breath. Thick fringes of sooty lashes framed dreamy, moss-green eyes. His pale skin darkened to a rusty hue as he sped up the repetitions. Glistening with perspiration, midnight curls clung to his sharp, slanting cheekbones. An overlong forelock snaked down to graze his pronounced nasal bridge.

With his lips pursed and eyes narrowed, the intense, menacing expression he wore added fodder to her prolonged sexual fantasy. She could almost feel his coarse chest hair rasping her chin and cheeks, taste salt as she explored the expanse of taut, supple flesh. Her pulse raced, her erratic heartbeat a warm flurry over each fingertip.

As if by magic, his waistband slipped down his hips, sending his shorts pooling to his ankles before they dropped to the floor. Entranced by the unexpected striptease, her attention zeroed in on his penis. Even from afar, the warlock didn’t disappoint.

With a contented sigh, she imagined tracing the ridge, swirling her tongue over the long, thick shaft before taking the engorged tip into her mouth. While she contemplated the way he might taste, deep grooves formed between his thick brows. His full, sensuous lips flattened into a grim line.

She closed her eyes and ventured deeper into the familiar daydream, a moan catching in her throat as his erection slid back and forth over her flesh. Instead of the binocular’s cold metal chilling her hands, the toned, flexing ass she’d always admired warmed her palms and fingers. She took him deeper, until she could almost feel the head brushing the back of her throat. A hoarse, masculine groan echoed between her ears when she hollowed her cheeks and—

“Meow!” A quintet of sharp claws swiped down her calf, the sudden pain shattering her erotic fantasy.

Spinning around, she nudged at the brown, shorthaired cat with her toe. Her friend must really want attention if she’d resorted to shifting into her hated feline form. A familiar stockpiled more magic as animal than human, so the amount of time her companion spent coughing up fur balls around the house directly correlated with the accuracy of her premonitions.

For whatever reason, the witch preferred to keep the future at bay.

“Damn it, Sweets.” She tapped her foot on the diabolical cat’s head. “Scat. If you don’t stop bugging me, I’ll tell your boyfriend you’ve been gawking at another man on a daily basis.”

Arching her spine in a sinuous stretch, the feline stuck out her tongue.

WHAT TYPE OF READER IS TARA?

I have a confession: I’m a romance reader.

Growing up, my parents wanted me to express an interest in the classics. So I faked my way through works by Charles Dickens, discovered I very much enjoyed anything by Jane Austen, and realized I didn’t have the patience for Leo Tolstoy (no, not even Anna Karenina). For the sake of dinnertime debates with my better half, I’ve braved Richard Dawkins’ The Blind Watchmaker and skimmed Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel.

But a quick perusal of my past Amazon.com purchases reveal the undisputable truth. My favorite authors are Cherise Sinclair, Kresley Cole, and Nalini Singh. The books I read all fall under the same genre.

So what makes me a romance reader?

  1. I can’t stand it when books don’t end in a happily ever after. In fact, I almost always read the final pages of every book first, just to make sure nothing bad happens. As much as I adored Erich Segal’s Love Story, I will never re-read it. The books on my shelf with worn pages and creased spines are ones with endings that make me smile. Many of them also feature covers with lace-lined bodices and handsome rogues.
  2. I’m a sucker for a love story. Don’t me wrong—I’ve strayed from the romance genre on several occasions. The fantasy lands of George R.R. Martin’s The Song of Ice and Fire and the sci-fi planets of Frank Herbert’s Dune both lured me to sample other types of fiction, but even those stories contained characters who loved and made sacrifices for love.

What can I say? I’m a hopeless romantic. I like reading books about people who fall in love, who then live happily ever after, and, who, upon occasion, have a bit of kinky sex along the way.

To celebrate an unexpected return to my favorite series, I’m giving away a $15 gift card. To enter, leave a comment here and drop your details in the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of this post [or at my website: http://www.taraquan.com/felinevalentine].

Love can’t be taught, but it can be unlearned. When Associate Professor Stella Greene lost her mentor on Valentine’s Day, she also lost her way both professionally and romantically. Her academic career, and her desire to love again, stagnated. Pete Hart’s doctorate degree in cinema and art history gives him an eye for detail and an appreciation for beauty. When Pete and Stella’s paths cross, they realize there’s nothing academic about their attraction to one another. But can even the patience and persistence of Dr. Hart withstand the distance Stella’s pain places between them? Can love be relearned? Or will Pete have to take matters into his own hands to claim Stella’s heart?

Excerpt:

We barely set foot in his apartment before shoes were kicked off, coats peeled away, his sweater was shed, and I think he was almost out of his jeans when he realized that maybe things were moving too fast. In a white cotton t-shirt and his button fly jeans open, his gray-blue eyes shone in the moonlight.

His gaze then held mine as he walked toward me and started to unbutton my silk blouse. It slid off my shoulders and dropped to the floor. Pete waited while I unzipped my jeans, and then we both stepped out of our jeans together. I stood before him in a black lace bra and pink cotton low-rise panties that had “Wednesday” stamped on the fabric.

He raised an eyebrow.

I shrugged. “I’m kind of into days of the week.”

He tried not to laugh.

I lightly whacked him on the shoulder. “Hey! It keeps me on track.”

“And clearly that’s important.”

“Well, it can be.” I crossed my arms over my chest and suddenly felt very naked.

Pete moved toward me. And I moved away in equal measure.

“I think it’s cute.”

I held up a finger. “I’ll have you know that days of the week panties are not easy to find.” As soon as the words came out of my mouth I cringed.

“There may be a good reason for that,” Pete said and burst out laughing.

I bit the inside of my mouth to stop from laughing, but it didn’t work. I started giggling.

“Come here,” Pete waved me toward him. “Come here, Wednesday.”

“Oh, har-har.”

I stepped back from him, keeping my eyes firmly on his. The excitement glittering back at me intensified my desire.

“If you think Wednesday looks good, you should see Thursday…” I tried to sound seductive when really there wasn’t anything sexy about cotton panties or the days of the week stamped on them, but I only had so much to work with. Then I saw the movies posters in his front room, and I instantly knew what do to.

Stripper Gypsy Rose Lee had less to work, but made more with what she had. She was the woman that literally put the “tease” in “striptease”. Gypsy was one movie I knew Pete would have seen and one role I knew I could pull off.

“And Friday … oh you should see Friday’s panties…” I slowly glided my bra off my shoulders with my fingertips without revealing anything significant.

Pete’s eyes roamed my body, and I savored the seduction. I turned my back and unclasped my bra, exposing my bare back to him. Sliding the bra off, I covered my breasts with one hand and faced him. With my other hand, I twirled my bra on my index finger. Pete was my captive audience.

I dropped my hand that held my breasts, pulled back the elastic band on my bra and aimed it like a slingshot.

“Saturday’s panty is pretty saucy, too. It has lace.” I released the bra. It lobbed in the air and then fell, missing my mark.

Pete reached up and grabbed my wrist. He pulled me toward him. “You talk too much.”

My breasts playfully bounced and pressed against his firm chest. He wrapped his other arm around the small of my back, his fingertips grazing my skin. The force between us electrified, always simmering below the surface, too powerful to deny when we collided. His lips commandeered mine, and my need for him built and screamed for release.

He grabbed my arm and led me to his bedroom. He braced my fall when he leaned us down onto his bed. His unshaven cheek grazed against my neck in an oddly rough, yet subtly seductive way. Everything Pete did, was, and said created a fiery passion in me so strong I had to dig my nails into his back just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Our bodies brushed, and our breathing grew heavier.

He rocked back to pull off his t-shirt, and I deeply inhaled the cologne I sensed he sprayed in the center of his chest. I pulled him down and crushed him against my taut nipples. Hell, yeah.

His lips kissed and bit my neck. My body waited. Anticipation grew for what I craved now more than ever. He pulled my panties to the side and looked at me.

Damn. His eyes always got to me. They flashed with a mixture of mischievousness and caution as they drank me in. Without uttering a word, his eyes waited for permission. I had the control.

I coyly grinned and opened myself to him.

He reached into the drawer of his nightstand. He ripped the condom packet open with his teeth, slid the sheath over his cock, and dove into me. I moaned and tried to remember how to breathe all at the same time. God, he feels good. His pace and intensity slowed. He waited for me to catch up to him. I need more. His hands caressed my thighs.

I wrapped my legs around him and pulled him deeper into me.

A low groan rose from his throat. “Stella…” Powerful gray-blue eyes locked onto mine. “I’m not going to last long if you keep doing that.”

But I wasn’t even close to being ready. I slowed down my pace and looked up at him. “Then let’s play around the world.”

He looked at me, trying to make sense of the sudden shift.

“You know, a trip around our bodies exploring all the different spots.”

Thank you for inviting me to your blog today to celebrate my new release with Hot Ink Press, erotic paranormal romance, ‘Deep Dream.’

This story concept was originally formed for a proposed series. Now it has been completed revised, lengthened, and re-edited for Hot Ink Press.

Essentially a vampire erotic romance, it also has threads of magic, and taking place in New Orleans, it’s set in a music club/rock club, the mysterious StarZ.

Ethan Ross, the vampire hero, has been in New Orleans since his girlfriend and sire, dumped him in 1922. He’s used to the weird undercurrents of the city and now works in StarZ that caters to the supernatural folks. His band, Deep Dream, play there. He’s tasked with taking care of the ‘ordinary humans’ that arrive in the club and he does this happily …

With a broken heart to heal Ethan swore off love long ago … that is until starry eyed Anna Prideaux wanders into his life.

Then sparks start to fly …

She watched him disappear into the gloom. Anna stood and scooped her phone from the counter. She glanced around to check who might be watching her. When it looked like no one was, she quickly followed Marcus. She quickened her pace as she lost sight of him in the swirling mist at the back of the club’s main room. Marcus disappeared.

When she reached where she’d last seen him a shiver spiked up her back. The mist was freezing cold, the air thick with potent. Anna turned away as a weird fear gripped her. She practically ran back to the bar, weaving through the groups of patrons, and muttering, “Sorry,” as she knocked into one, splashed the drink from the glass of another, until she stood in front of Ethan.

His gaze mesmerized her. She wasn’t even sure she actually heard his voice, but somehow he soothed her.

“Anna, it’s time you went home now. You want to go home. You have work to do transcribing the interview with the band. Everything’s fine.”

She smiled at him. “I’m off now. Thank you for answering my questions. Thank Marcus for me. He left.” She gestured toward where she’d run from. A flutter of fear rose in her stomach and then Ethan was leaning forward, his blue eyes capturing her so that she dreamily froze to soak up his low voiced words.

“Goodnight, Anna.”

She left the club happily, a faraway feeling carrying her along …

Blurb
His brother slash boyfriend, Drew is leaving him. It makes Zach unaware of his surrounding and a hate-crime psycho takes him off guard. He is kidnapped and tortured. Zach is saved by the FBI and as a surviving witness, he is brought to stay with FBI Agent Eugene Harris.

Gradually, Eugene gets to know Zach. He should have been disgusted, but instead, all he wants is comfort Zach.

Will Zach accept that Drew is not coming back? Will Eugene finally have the gut to tell Zach how he feels?

Excerpt
“Come with me, Zach.”

“Hush…” Zach whispered. He wanted to treasure the moment as much as he could but it was him who pulled back first. “Let’s go,” he said harshly. “You will miss your bus.” His heart bled at how Drew stared at him in confusion, hurt in his eyes. But he knew he had to let go now or he would never be able to.

He helped Drew with his bags and grasped Drew’s jacket sleeve, hugging him tight and kissing him again, not caring who might be watching. Drew clung onto him just like he used to during those cold nights whenever they were alone in a motel room, and squeezed him for the last time, pulling back. Their eyes met.

“I’ll come back for you.”

Long after the bus was gone, Zach was still standing at the bus station, his heart heavy. Drew was his brother and his lover. Zach realized the unnatural nature of their relationship, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. They only had each other in their lives.

Zach remembered one night. He had been nine at that time and Drew had been five. Rain had been pouring down the Earth for like hours now but there was no sign of stopping from the sound of it. Zach shot a wary gaze to the wide window and the thin lacey curtains covering it—a useless thing in his humble opinion—they could not stop him and Drew from staring right through the rain, let alone from the thunder and lightning that cracked almost every five minutes.

Alone only with little Drew in their small apartment—their father had yet to return, Zach did not dare shut his eyes even for a second. Not in this weather. Not when closing his eyes meant letting Drew out of his sight, although the kid was curled up right here with him, never far from his embrace.

Dark Days by Naomi Clark

Congratulations to Naomi Clark on your new release!

Page-break-1

Thanks for having me here on your blog today! I’m really delighted to be here to share a teaser from my new novel, DARK DAYS, the sequel to BLOOD WITCH. The book was a real labour of love for me – BLOOD WITCH was supposed to be a quick, one-off novella and instead it turned into the start of a new series. With DARK DAYS, I had a lot of plot threads to follow up, new elements to introduce, and new threats to throw at my characters. I always think a good sequel should raise the stakes and open up the world, and I think I succeeded at that! You’ll get to learn a little bit more about Tristesse’s world (just a little bit; she’s still keeping lots of secrets!), meet a new addition to Lola’s ragtag team, and see new magic and enemies arise. All of which should lead nicely into Book 3…But hopefully you’ll enjoy Book 2 first!

Excerpt

“The ley line made you sick.”
“I’m getting desperate.”
Tristesse shifted her position so she could free Lola’s hair from
the messy bun she’d piled it in. “I would happily teach you ley line
magic. It’s been a long time since I had an apprentice. But the experience did
make you very sick.”
“Protecting me again?” Lola pulled a face at her.
Tristesse tangled her hands in Lola’s hair, smiling. “A dead
apprentice is useless to me.”
Lola took her hand, weaving her fingers through Tristesse’s.
“I want you to teach me.” Her first and last experience with the
power of the ley line had been awful, but the potential there, the power
flowing all around her, just out of reach… Not a day had passed without her
thinking about it. Maybe once you were used to it, the sickness went away.
Maybe it was like adjusting to a high altitude or something. Nobody ever
learned anything valuable without a little suffering, after all.
Instead of answering, Tristesse pushed her over so she lay on her
back. The demon straddled her, pinning her to the sofa and leaning down to kiss
her. This time she wasn’t soft or sweet, and Lola gasped, arching her body up
to meet Tristesse’s instinctively. Tristesse deepened the kiss, pushing her
hips down to pin Lola’s lower body as well, and a swell of lust rose in Lola,
sweeping everything else away.
It was annoying, how easily Tristesse could turn her on and
distract her. It left her aching for more, and she had no idea how much
Tristesse could give her.
Tristesse broke the kiss but nipped Lola’s throat with a playful
growl, making Lola squeak. “I’m a demanding teacher,” Tristesse
warned her.
“But I’m an excellent student.” Lola freed her hands and
draped them around Tristesse’s neck, pulling her back for another kiss.
“How soon can we start?”
Tristesse slid her hand under Lola’s thin hoodie, tracing the
curve of her breast through her bra. “Seems like we already have.”
Her touch sent shivers of need through Lola, and her brazen
invitation was almost too good to resist. The only thing holding Lola back was
a reluctant sense of urgency. There were so many things to do, especially now
she’d agreed to go to the Choir meeting tomorrow night. She could easily waste
a few hours, even a whole day, rolling around on the sofa with Tristesse, but
that wouldn’t pay her bills or help her clients or find Yvette. More’s the
pity.

With a sigh, she wriggled out from under her. “Hold that
thought. Let’s go paint shopping.”

The Dragon in Stone by Doris O’Connor

Congratulations to Doris O’Connor on your new release!

Page-break-1

Thank you so much for having me on your blog with my Naughty Fairytale, The Dragon in the Stone, which is an erotic twist on Beauty and the Beast.

I always say I find inspiration in all sorts of places and this story is no exception.

The idea first came to me during a walk with my kids last summer. As we were meandering past the stream in one of our local parks, my ten year old daughter piped up.

“Look mummy, that’s the stone that looks like a dragon.”

She pointed toward a rock formation that made up one side. Now, I’ll be honest I didn’t see a dragon, just rock, lol, but she was adamant it was a dragon. As were the other kids, when they looked.

So, it got me thinking about this girl who sees the dragon in the stone. The idea was born, and when the lovely Rhonda in my reader Group, The RavDor Chicks asked me to write dragon story… the rest is history as they say. 🙂

The Dragon in the Stone was my NaNoWriMo effort last year, and you know with the awesome Gary Taylor as my visual inspiration for Lord Drorgan, my fingers flew.

You can check out my Pinterest board for this story here: https://uk.pinterest.com/dorisoconnor/the-dragon-in-the-stone/

Not only did I win NaNoWriMo, but I had the story submitted and accepted by the end of November, something of a record for me, I tell you. And that was with me wanting to bash Dorgan’s and Rhonda’s heads together, at time. They’re as stubborn as each other, and I was beginning to despair that they ever would get it together. When they do… well, he’s a dragon and things get HAWT in an entirely different way.

*winks*

I loved writing these two, and I hope my readers will too.

Penance needs to be paid come what may…

Several Centuries ago Drorgan was cursed into stone. Every twenty five years he is given one night and one day to find the woman willing to accept him in both forms.

It’s the price to pay for his past behavior.

As a lost, lonely little girl Rhonda Butterbaugh was rescued by the dragon in the stone and she has never forgotten her fierce protector. It sparked her fascination with all things dragon. If only they were real. There are no such things as fairytales, however.

When she is attacked on her way home, and wakes up in a cursed magic castle, complete with a fierce dragon shifting lord, her life takes a turn for the surreal.

Determined to break the curse and rescue Drorgan and his kin, she hasn’t counted on Drorgan’s resistance.

Dragons aren’t supposed to be noble.

Excerpt:

She’d have that cute crease between her brows, screw up her nose and stick her tongue out as she concentrated on her task. Thoughts of her tongue sweeping across her lips, and her teeth no doubt sinking into the soft flesh, made his morning wood turn to stone. Without even thinking about his actions he took his rock hard dick in hand and stroked lazily up and down the shaft, while his hungry gaze roamed over the curve of her ass. The fire flared to life, rendering her shift transparent, and he fisted his erection faster, seeing the darkened cleft of her ass cheeks.

His dragon roared to life with the need to claim his woman, and Rhonda gasped and whipped around to face him. While the action hid her far too enticing ass from his view, it exposed her heavy breasts. The nipples hardened under his intense stare, and he could clearly make out the darker color of the surrounding areola through the fabric covering. It made his mouth water with the need to taste, as did the restless way his girl shifted from foot to foot. The increasing wetness he sensed between her legs wrenched a growl from him, and the most delightful blush spread over Rhonda’s pale skin.

Her breathing sped up and her pupils dilated, and she’d taken several involuntary steps toward him before she realized what she was doing. Shaking her head she frowned as though surprised at her actions, and Drorgan grinned. The fact that she responded like that to him without any coercion on his part spoke volumes of their connection.

Magda’s instructions rang in his ears, and despite his misgivings he couldn’t have put a stop to what was happening between them, if his life depended on it. It might be utterly selfish of him, but he was tired of fighting what he felt for the woman in front of him. He was so damn tired of being alone, and Rhonda was a grown woman, not a child. She’d had countless opportunities to flee, to reject him, and not once had she done so, so maybe he just needed to accept this … whatever this would turn out to be and go with it.

The future was his for the taking again, and God help him, he wanted Rhonda in that future, as his mate, his wife, and God willing one day the mother of his children.

“You’re awake.”

Her whispered words shook him out his self-examining thoughts, and kicking the rest of the sheets off, he let go of his dick, and put his hands behind his head in a silent invitation.

“Very awake in more ways than one, my little dragon, and in need of your attention.”

He smirked when she gasped and let her gaze roam all over his naked body. The way she was eating him alive with her eyes, the way her breathing grew laborious, and her heart rate kicked into overdrive … it made his cock jerk. Her gaze snared on that body part, and she licked her lips. Right now in this moment it was the most erotic sight ever, and Drorgan wished with all his might that those lips were wrapped around his shaft.

“Don’t let me stop you. Keep on walking over here, little dragon, and take what you so clearly want.”

He held out his hand to her, and Rhonda gave one of those cock hardening little mewls, that told him how turned on she was.

“I thought we were going to talk about…” His dragon snarled his impatience, and she blanched, even as her sweet musk intensified. She sank her teeth into her bottom lip, wrapped her arms around herself, and her toes curled under as her thighs flexed.

“We can talk if you want to, or I can take care of that ache in your cunt, while I fuck your mouth with my cock.” A strangled sound escaped his girl, and sitting up, Drorgan swung his legs off the side of the bed. He took a firm grasp of his cock and started to fist himself. Drops of his pre-cum appeared on the hugely swollen head of his dick, and he hissed his pleasure through his teeth as he swiped his thumb through the sticky evidence of his arousal and used the natural lubrication to slap his hand up and down his cock.

Pleasure built instantly from the base of his spine, and he grunted his approval when Rhonda’s hand strayed to her cunt.

“Yes, fuck yourself on your fingers for me. Take that blasted shift off, and let me see how wet you are. How much your cunt is aching for my cock, and if you’re a very good girl you might even get to taste it soon.”

“God, yes.” Her strangled whisper reached his hearing over the roaring of his own blood, and he increased the motion of his hand on his cock, as she fumbled with the ribbon holding her shift together.

“So fucking beautiful.” He grunted the words, as her shift fell to the floor, and leaned forward better to see the flushed skin on display for him. “Fondle your breasts and spread your legs, so that I can see my cunt. That’s my girl.”

Flames licked across his skin as his dragon went wild, seeing Rhonda comply with his wishes so beautifully. Breaths seesawing out of her lungs she tugged on the tips of her pink nipples, until they elongated and hardened further. Her pussy lips opened as she spread her legs, revealing the darker tissues contained within. Drenched in her juices, her inner lips quivered and her little hole clenched, pushing more of her arousal down the inside of her thighs.

“You’re so fucking wet for me, girl. Tell me do you still want to talk, or shall I show you what it means to be my mate?”

Excerpt:

He slid a finger down her cheek. “The bond is strong, especially when the woman you care for carries something so amazing and precious within. When she is your other, better half, you need to be close to her in the hope that some of that goodness will rub off on you and help to lighten the load we all carry.”

“And you’ve found her?” Damn him for making me ask. She leaned into his touch, all but purring when he stroked his finger down her cheek again. She was as close to him as she could possibly get, her hand resting lightly on his chest as she looked up at him. “Tell me,” she whispered. She had to know that she wasn’t alone in this feeling, that he was as attracted to her as she was to him.

“I did,” he answered. “She is an amazing beauty, a pure and kind soul, elegant, poised, and much too good for a warrior like me. She could have any man falling at her feet, yet she seems to have taken an interest in only one. For which I am grateful.”

“I have a feeling that she would move heaven and earth for you,” Riley admitted quietly, her face turned up to him as she spoke. Licking her lips, she all but shivered at the need that was in his eyes. “I really think you should kiss me again.”

“I think you may be right.” His arms came around her, pulling her up close to his chest, and his head lowered. But he didn’t kiss her immediately. Instead he brushed his nose over hers, then over her cheek. As the anticipation began to build to a nearly explosive point, he finally pressed his lips to hers in a hard, demanding kiss.

Riley gave in completely to his passion. She wrapped her arms around his neck. Her hands fisted into his hair. She shuddered and opened to him, his tongue brushing over hers before he took full control. He was dominating her in that moment, and she was fully willing to allow it to happen.

Hector’s arms tightened around her as he bent her back over an arm. One hand was soon up in her hair, holding it tight. His mouth devoured hers, and he let out a low growl that shot through her entire body.

Then his lips were gone, but his heavy and hard breathing was still a hot brush over her skin. “We should talk first,” he said, his voice not entirely steady.

Riley nodded and moved so that she could hug him. Her feet were off the ground, and he was keeping her up, but she was fine with that. She pulled back and smiled teasingly. “You running from this?”

He huffed out a breath. “It’s called a strategic retreat, for your information. It’s either that or I have you naked, on the table, with my cock buried inside of you, without a care for the fact that there’s someone else in the house with us. We need to talk before we do anything like that. You need to know what’s going on, and I made you a promise.” Stepping back, he grabbed one of her hands and tugged her up the stairs and down the hall to the room they would be sharing.

The NØ Frat Clause by HK Carlton

Congratulations to HK Carlton on your new release!

Page-break-1

The-No-Frat-Clause-Evernightpublishing-JayAheer2016-banner1

Temptation… It’s all around us… the flesh is weak.

Haven’t we all been tempted, at one time or another? Sometimes it’s just too hard to be good.

Whether it’s that rich chocolaty slab of cake alongside a cold glass of white milk while you’re on a diet, or that drool-worthy muscle bound guy at the gym who you can’t seem to keep your greedy gaze from, or the gorgeous young intern, new to the firm, who just needs some good training.

Temptation doesn’t obey the rules and though they try their best to fight it, Roger and Lexi, don’t either, The NØ Frat Clause.

No-Fratuthorbanner

Fresh out of college, Lexi Wideman lands an entry level job at a lucrative recruiting firm. Only six months into her tenure, she’s offered a major promotion—executive assistant to Roger Kent, the company’s coveted corporate headhunter. Older, irresistible, and ruggedly handsome, Roger Kent turns her into a liquid pool of need with just one smoldering glance. But the opportunity is just too good to pass up this early in her career. Lexi must find a way to remain professional while panting after her boss.

Roger Kent is thrown off guard when the company execs all of a sudden decide he needs an assistant. Perhaps he does, but Lexi Wideman is not the girl for him. She’s smart, young, and gorgeous. It’s hard enough trying to keep his eyes off her. Working in such close proximity, day after day, it would only be a matter of time before his hands followed.

So much for the No Frat Policy.

I hope you enjoy this naughty tease. A little Love in an Elevator…

(sorry, I just got that song stuck in your head for the rest of the day).

Excerpt:

All of a sudden the lights flickered once again, and the lift jerked.

Lexi grabbed my thigh in panic. “Oh God!”

Oh God was right. Any higher and she was going to get a rock-hard handful.

I wound my arms around her, and we held on as the elevator came to shuddering halt. The lights went out entirely, plunging us into complete darkness. The hydraulic hum of the mechanics powering down droned. Then there was silence except for the clicking of the cables.

“Ohhh …” Lexi said in alarm.

“It’s okay. Take it easy,” I reassured her. “The auxiliary lights should come on in a second when the generators kick in.” But seconds ticked by and nothing happened.

“What’s happening?” she asked, her voice warbling.

“Power outage from the storm I’d say. Guess you were right, we should have taken the stairs.”

“Oh boy.” I felt her take a deep shuddering breath. She shifted, centering her back to my chest, and relaxed into me. I tried to maintain some distance, but there was no help for it, with her perfect little ass snugged right up against my upper thighs. There was no way she missed the massive bulge in my pants. She tensed, but she didn’t pull away either.

I inhaled her familiar scent. Another bad idea. It was just as arousing as the rest of her. She smelled fanfuckingtastic.

Her breathing became erratic. I was afraid she was about to panic.

“We’re okay. Relax.” I ran my hands up and down her arms.

She melted into me.

“Do you have your cell phone?” I asked in a tight voice. “We could use it for light. And-or call for help. At least let someone know we’re in here.”

“No, I left mine at the office. You?”

“I think I tossed mine in the briefcase. It’s down here by our feet somewhere.”

A ringing noise made us both jump.

I released her and groped in the dark until I found the little door containing the emergency phone. “Hello?” I answered in a clipped tone.

“What’s your name, and how many are with you?” a gruff voice barked.

“Roger Kent. There are two of us. Myself and my assistant.”

“We’re working on getting you down. Try not to panic.”

“All right, but can you do something about the auxiliary lighting?”

“The generators should engage anytime now. Sit tight.”

“Okay, we’ll sit tight. As if we have a choice,” I said as I hung up.

From the awkward way I’d been leaning, I straightened up slightly, rearranging my hips back into the corner. “We’re gonna be a while,” I said and reached for Lexi. It was pitch black. I couldn’t make out a goddamn thing. “Where’d ya go? Christ, it’s dark.”

“I’m searching for the cell.” Just then my palm made contact with a nicely rounded hip. Oh fuck, she was bent over in front of me. I followed the soft plump curve as she rooted through the briefcase. I closed my eyes and took long, slow inventory of her shapely backside. I stifled a groan, but it escaped as more of a grunt.

Slowly, she straightened and turned in my direction. The low light from my cell screen glowed, illuminating the space between us.

The tension between us was palpable. She stared at me. Her lips parted. I don’t know what she saw in my expression. One of us made a growling sound. I suspect it was me.

Simultaneously, she dropped the phone and reached for me as I grabbed for her. I sought her lips hungrily as the darkness enveloped us once more. She moaned something incoherent into my mouth.

In a wild frenzy, we nipped and sucked at each other’s mouths, our hands roamed free and greedily. My cock lengthened to painful proportions.

Lexi arched into me, her ample breasts pressing against my upper chest. She squirmed as I tried to gather her sweet backside in my greedy hands. Lifting her, I thrust my hips at her, leaving no doubt as to what I wanted.

In answer, she pressed her pelvis against me. The pressure felt amazing, but I wanted more.

“Yeah,” she cried softly. “Yeah …”

Fuck yeah!

H ~ K

I enjoy writing in many different genres. I write where the muse takes me and make no apologies for it. By now, it’s quite safe to say I will never pick just one genre and stick to it. There are just too many possibilities and stories left to tell. Today time-travel, tomorrow sweet historical romance—the next release might be, down and dirty erotica or ménage. I hope you’ll join me for the ride.

Variety is creativity’s playground—It’s where you’ll find me.

Excerpt for general use:

Towel wrapped around me, I peeked out the bathroom door into Trent’s dimly lit bedroom. A T-shirt and shorts lay on his massive, king-sized bed.

I tugged the shorts up my damp legs, but couldn’t get them over my bum. More tears pricked as I cursed my too-much body. Trent’s shirt hung to the middle of my thighs. It would have to do.

Trent lounged beside the blazing fire pit. The sound of trickling water drew my attention to the right. Brody stood beneath the outdoor shower, his round, bite-able backside flooding my mouth with drool.

Tearing my gaze off him, I ambled over toward Trent. He patted the couch beside him, and taking care not to reveal my too-much, naked bottom half, I settled on the cushion and allowed myself another peek at Brody.

“Hot, isn’t he?”

Trent’s low, murmured words whipped my head around. “What?”

“Brody.” He continued to stare at his friend, a smirk on his lips, lust in his eyes. “Just look at that ass.”

Unable to help myself, I did as told while trying to wrap my mind around what Trent had said—and the unmistakable desire in his gaze.

“What do you think, Tessa?”

I swallowed and laced my fingers together in my lap. “I think he’s beautiful.”

Trent made a sound of appreciation in his throat as Brody turned, closed his eyes, and tipped his head back, running his hands through his hair.

My focus zoned in on his long, flaccid penis. Cock, my whore-mind whispered. I laced my fingers tighter and forced my attention on Trent.

He met my gaze and grinned. “Quite the temptation, isn’t he?”

“Enough to make me burn in hell,” I admitted with a whisper.
