Roeland pulled his shirt over his head and sent Alv a glance, a grin curving his mouth. The traveling had done him good. He’d grown muscles and his olive skin had acquired a healthy glow. With a thin layer of sweat covering his firm chest and shoulders, he looked to die for. Alv yearned to touch him, but…

The sexy man came closer, black gaze sparkling. “What’s wrong? You look tense. Hesitant.”

Alv sucked in a mouthful of air. “I thought you said you could never love anyone again. Why would you—”

“A woman, no. But you…you’re something else.” Roeland stopped a hairsbreadth away and slid his hands between Alv’s shoulders and his coat, lifting the too-hot fur and letting it fall to the floor behind him. “I want you to live here with Ima and me.”

He did? That declaration sent a rush of fierce emotions through Alv’s chest, almost choking him and bringing tears to his eyes. After the chaotic events of the past weeks, he’d felt lost and lonely, like an orphan, and uprooted, wandering from place to place and not feeling at home anywhere. But if the man of his wildest dreams invited him to stay… That changed everything. He swallowed to loosen the knot in his throat.

“Please say you’ll stay.” Roeland’s warm breaths blew softly on his lips as he leaned forward and pressed a hard bulge in his pants against him.

Oh… Heat coursed to Alv’s cock, making it swell in an instant and push back against Roeland’s. He groaned, closed his eyes, and relished the intense arousal. If Roeland was honest, and he’d always been, Alv should trust that what happened between them was genuine and lasting. Just be thankful and savor it!

Without warning, Roeland pulled Alv’s pants down so his curled erection straightened and bumped into Roeland’s stomach. Shocked and delighted at once, Alv gasped and opened his eyes. Roeland met him with a sinful grin and kissed him, mouth hard. That took away the last of Alv’s hesitation.
