The dark romantic suspense Fiery 10-16 (book 1 of the Smokey Glen series) was released by the Writers in Crime in March 2017.

Runo Wiggins is a scarred man, the wounds etched into his psyche deeper than those on his skin. But he loves his job: fighting fires helps reenact his survival of a house fire as a teen, one that killed his mother and brutal stepfather.
Dawn Caravello is married to a psychotic drunk. She can take his beatings as long as he doesn’t touch their children, and she’ll do anything to put food on the table, even if it means stealing from the town hero.
When Runo meets the fiery Dawn, sparks fly. But he suspects she is victim of the same abuse as his mother was. As day turns to night, the past and the present blend in an exhausting, hold-your-breath chase to prevent another death.

Reviews:
A MUST READ!
Runo had a tough childhood and an even tougher life. He’s survived a lot but not without scars. Dawn is in a bad place, abusive husband, broke and just trying to keep her kids safe. When she steals from Runo the sparks fly but so does the heartbreak. Can Runo help her or will Dawn become another victim?
I love this book. Love it! Dawn is so broken, I just want to hug her and hold her tight. Equally, Runo has his own issues and it is sweet seeing them trying to heal each other. There is some serious hot sex scenes in here that certainly give the title some merit. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book.
Be warned, Fiery isn’t your average romance story. It’s dark, dirty and a must read!

SOUL BINDING LOVE. LEA BRONSEN’S WRITING IS EXCELLENT
Fiery 10-16 is a major page turner. This dark romantic suspense has it all: tortured characters, plenty of tension, and deep, soul binding love.
Lea Bronsen’s writing is excellent. She does a great job of maintaining and escalating the suspense throughout the story, making it impossible to set the book down. Her characters are well rounded, their personal stories skillfully developed. More than once, my heart went out to them. I laughed, cried and despaired with them.
Runo’s and Dawn’s chemistry jumps off the page and though they fall for each other pretty quickly, the relationship between them, which is full of emotional, romantic and heated moments, feels natural and believable.
This was a great read, and I’ll be looking forward to more books by this author, especially future Smokey Glen stories!

This book was so intense and my heart was racing throughout. I couldn’t stop reading. Runo is such a hero. I would have let the villain burn, dammit. *wink*
This is dark and suspenseful and should carry some trigger warnings. Not for the faint-hearted or squeamish.

AWESOME STORY
I loved this story. From the moment Runo meets Dawn things move very fast, the intensity of their feelings and the gut-wrenching situations they find themselves meant I couldn’t stop reading.

A steamy read I couldn’t put down.

INTENSE
Loved this dark, intense, suspenseful ride of a story. My heart was thumping throughout and I couldn’t put it down.
Dawn is in an abusive marriage and needs help. Runo is the right man and hero for her. Their love for each other in the end was beautiful.
I just wished the villain got a heavy dose of karma, although I understand why it was written this way.
If you enjoy dark romance, then what are you waiting for? Start reading.
However, this should come with some trigger warnings. Not for the faint-hearted.

A DARK AND DIRTY ROMANTIC SUSPENSE
Lea Bronsen once again does not disappoint in this romantic suspense story. It’s dark and it’s hot of course because it’s Lea!
Firefighter, Runo, meets a woman (Dawn) in need and oh boy does she need. Dawn’s home situation is bad and Runo goes out of his way to make sure Dawn and her kids are protected.
I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.
This book could be a trigger for some so be sure to read the book description above. (10-19 is code for domestic abuse)
I received a copy of this book directly from the publisher.
