Thanks so much for stopping by. The Hop Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (HAHABT) was created to spread awareness and stand together as a writer community against discrimination of our works.

The subject touches me. We’re talking about basic human rights. I usually try to respect everyone’s right to have an opinion, but opinions that hurt or scorn another person for any stupid reason light my fuse.

I started writing my erotic multi-partner novel High-Risk Fever in March 2013. At the time, it was just intended to be a sexy story, but the influence of real-life events caused it to be so much more. The ongoing Marriage for all debate in France, with its massive demonstrations and furious arguments on all sides of the political spectrum, was seriously bugging my mind and plaguing my conscience. It was constantly on the news, my surroundings kept bringing up the topic, and I tired myself out arguing and condemning. When the debate reached the grotesque point of questioning gays, lesbians, and bisexuals’ rights to have children, I decided keeping my opinion private wasn’t enough. I had to do something more concrete and lasting on a public arena. My erotica novel became my channel, and I used every opportunity offered by the plot to voice my GLBT-related messages.

So the book isn’t only “hot, hot, hot” as one reviewer said, it’s also an angry socio-political statement!

My passive aggressive way is to wear my t-shirt collection that focuses on the simple fact that love is love 😉
More directly I help to promote gender neutrality in my early childhood education classroom. We do not have girl and boy toys or girl and boy activities, we simply play and learn 😉

I love this! It’s clear you are passionate about it, I am too. My way of showing my indignation is much like yours. I writes about it. I create characters that people want to know, and love, without thought to sexual orientation. In my everyday life, I work with many people who are homophobic, some due to religious reasons. I refuse to hide my beliefs around them. I share my life fairly openly, I share the fact that many of those I love are gay. I refuse to let my child think for a second that I’m not proud of her. The opinions of others means nothing to me, my child’s emotional and mental well being trumps their narrow minded beliefs every day. They have no idea what my deal is, because I won’t to fit into any assigned box. I treat them with respect, as one should everybody they encounter. But they know it’s a superficial respect, because I can’t truly respect anyone who would deny another person basic human rights.

Whew. I got a little wordy here, my apologies. I’m so glad I got involved in this blog tour, it’s a great way to find amazing authors!
