Morgan White is thrilled that her relationship with her boss, Connor Slade, is getting stronger outside of the office. However, she is still waiting to hear those three magic words: “I love you”. Connor just can’t bring himself to say them. At least, not yet.

Their lives get complicated when Connor is involved in an accident. While he’s recovering, Morgan takes on the responsibility to entertain Connor’s college buddy, Max, who is in town for a few days.

Connor soon learns that something happened between Max and Morgan. They each blame the other person, and Connor is torn between believing his old friend or his new girl. Why would either of them lie to him? Are they both betraying him? How will he learn the truth?

Excerpt:

Connor’s hand trembled against Morgan’s back as he felt his climax building closer and closer. He loved watching her head bobbing up and down in his lap. Why was it such an attractive scene against his steering wheel?
He groaned in a low tone as she slurped him toward the back of her mouth. If he didn’t stop this soon, he was going to shoot his cum straight down her throat. Connor’s breathing was ragged as he moved his hand to her shoulder.
“Morgan … Ms. White.” He liked addressing her in a proper manner. It somehow made everything seem dirtier. What did that say about him? He didn’t care.
She hummed beautifully around his cock in a “what?” kind of way. Morgan didn’t pull her mouth off him right away. She licked his dick a few more times, causing him to shiver. He gripped her shoulder a bit harsher and she finally brought her face off him.
Morgan gave him an innocent smile which had his cock twitching. “Yes?”
Connor flexed his hands. He was overly anxious to get inside her, but he felt as if he needed to slow down or else it would be too rough. In this cold, sterile environment, he needed to be a bit softer. When he took her home later, on his soft bed, he would take her as rough as he wanted to.
He leaned in swiftly and kissed her. Her lips and surrounding face were wet from his blowjob. Connor kissed her hard and fast. Morgan whimpered into him as he reached up to her tits. He massaged one as he worked his lips over hers.
When he finally leaned back from her, he didn’t speak. Connor reached for his car door and opened it forcefully. It almost got away from him as he hastily climbed out. Morgan gasped in the car. Didn’t think I was serious, huh?
He shifted his slacks, hiding his stiff dick as he walked around the back of his Lexus. When he reached her door, Morgan was staring up at him with her pretty mouth popped open. A smirk lifted his lips. Mine. You believe that now, Morgan?
He opened her door and she didn’t move. “I wasn’t kidding, Morgan.”
She stuttered his name and Connor tensed his arms. He wanted her badly. He took a deep breath before reaching in and grabbing her hand. She only resisted for a second before climbing out of the car.
“Connor … I mean, Mr. Slade … I…”
He pulled her close to his body as he flung her car door shut. Connor gripped her by the hips and pressed her back against the car. He moved one hand up to hold the back of her neck as he kissed her again. This kiss was slower but more passionate as he slipped his tongue into her warm mouth.
His thumb stroked her cheek as the kiss slowed. That “love” word seemed closer to the surface than normal. Connor pulled back from her and Morgan’s mesmerizing brown eyes fluttered open. She sighed and Connor felt his chest tighten. He just didn’t know if it tightened in a good or bad way.
“Come on.” He stepped back, grabbing her hand.
She stutter-stepped after him. “Wait. Here?”
“Yes. I already told you that. Stop questioning it.”
She squeezed his hand harder as they rounded the front of the car. The headlights momentarily lit up their legs. His car door was still open and Connor came to a stop just in front of it. He turned Morgan around to face the hood and quickly grabbed her ass.
She yelped. “Connor! Aren’t there security cameras down here?”
He slowly lifted her skirt. “Yes. Why do you think we are behind this door? I know where they can and can’t see.” He raised an eyebrow playfully.

#MidWeekTease from Fiery 10-16

midweektease.jpg

Happy Hump Day, everyone! And thanks to the lovely Angelica Dawson for organizing the MidWeekTeases 🙂

This week’s tease comes from the dark romantic suspense Fiery 10-16, which was released on Monday.

*****

Runo Wiggins opened the heavy steel door to the sidewalk and squinted from the bright daylight. “Yes?”

The young woman standing outside the firehouse was a tall and strikingly beautiful brunette whose long curls danced with each breath, generous tits with perky brown nipples pressing against her tight, white tank top. She didn’t wear a bra, so those breasts—those nipples—were definitely an eye-catcher.

A hand on the door, Runo swallowed and stepped back, allowing his gaze to wander farther down to curvaceous hips in tiny blue jean shorts and thin legs that stretched a mile. He noted her feminine, self-confident stance as she stood with her hands on her hips. She posed, flashing those too-visible tits and pinning him with big, brown doe eyes that seemed to have seen a few things.

Loving and admiring the opposite sex, he couldn’t help letting this hot piece of female ass get to of him. But he was at work, a first-responder, and besides, she wasn’t his type. He liked blondes with pink lips and sparkly blue eyes, fair skin the texture of a peach, not tanned and rough like this brunette. Maybe he preferred blondes because he was dark himself, his father’s African genes giving him a flat nose, thick lips, and black eyes. Or maybe it was because Mom had been a blonde and they’d had an exceptionally tight relationship until she died. Freud would have a field day analyzing that bit.

To be honest, whether Gorgeous on the sidewalk was his type didn’t matter. He would do any chick, any size, any color, any religion, any position, as long as no bonds were tied. He’d do the romantic candlelight-dinner thing, the slightly-drunk-sensuous dancing thing, and the bring-her-home-and-fuck-her-’till-she-screamed-his-name thing, but he wouldn’t do a relationship. The next morning, he expected the girls to leave, and if they didn’t of their own free will, he asked them to.

Not because he was mean. On the contrary, he was an esteemed member of the town fire corps, and word of mouth had it the population of Smokey Glen, a place in the Rockies, Colorado, deemed him the town hero and would award him a bravery medal before the end of the year.

No, the reason why he kicked the girls out of his home was no one should stay with a person as mentally dark as he, burned and scarred and damaged in his head and living in the past. He was empty inside, a shadow of what he could and should be, and it suited him fine.

The beauty pointed her index finger at him, a small smile curving one side of her luscious mouth. “You’re doing an awful lot of thinking in there.”

Her low, sexy voice did something to him, too, awaking a need in the pit of his stomach.

The words pierced through his daze. He chuckled. “Yeah, sorry. What can I do to help you?”

He didn’t get to ask that question very often. The station rarely had visitors. It wasn’t the kind of place one walked into without a damn good reason, and actually, there really weren’t any reasons he could think of. Firefighters were needed outside of the station. One didn’t seek them here in their second home, where they ate, slept, and waited for days on end.

Furthermore, he never got to ask that question to someone who looked like she just got out of a modeling shoot.

She intensified her smile, a small gesture bringing all the sunlight in through the door at once. “I’m here to buy some clothes from Anthony Ferrari. You’re not him, apparently.”

“Tony? No, I’m not him. Why would you want to buy clothes from him?”

“He’s selling some online.”

“Ah.”

“Told me to meet him here.”

“Okay, well, come up with me, then. He’s upstairs.”

“Cool. Thanks.”

Runo waited for the beauty to step inside before he let the door slam shut. Her feminine scent reached his nose, but it wasn’t a cologne, no. All natural, all woman.

Angeline 43, an Urban Fantasy by Kathy Bosman

Congratulations to Kathy Bosman on your new release!

The Greatest Power Comes from the Greatest Pain

Essa sprouts wings on her back whenever she suffers the deepest grief. The love of her life has just left her without a solid reason. She’s flung into the depths of sorrow, unable to deal with her grief and the added stress of wings on her back which only she can see. She has to get out her apartment so she takes a walk along the streets of Boston at night.

To her surprise, her wings come to life when she finds herself fighting against an evil spirit set on destroying a man’s life. By pure instinct and a special light within her, she saves his life and is flung into a whole new world. Suddenly, she’s an angeline, a hybrid human/angel, and she’s part of a team of warriors who need to save the city of Boston. And they’re all depending on her, as she’s the only one with wings.

But is Essa ready for the evil that awaits her? And can she really fight a battle when her heart is filled with pain?

Excerpt:

“We’re all angelines.”

None of them had wings. Was this some type of joke?

“I don’t understand.” I felt a strong surge of anger for no reason. Well, there must have been a reason. Maybe I hated that none of them had wings. It galled me that they didn’t feel the pain that sat in the center of my gut with every step I took.

“Our wings are in remission.”

Was this a type of cancer? Remission? Maybe they’d gotten over their grieving period like I did after a while. Still, what exactly did they mean? “Get to the point,” I said.

“Look, I can understand your anger. There’s a lot to take in.”

Tahullah moved away from behind the desk and came to me. She held out her hand for me to take. I stared at it. I didn’t like affection from women. It didn’t feel right. Especially seeing my mom had been affectionate but then left without even a goodbye. I looked into her eyes. The brilliant blue sparkled with tears. “You’re hurting,” she added. “We’ve all been there.”

I looked at Skythe and Cornelia. Their faces showed kindness, even Cornelia’s. I didn’t even bother to glance at Golde as I could feel the hatred coming off him in waves.

“There are about ten of us in the States. The four of us are in Boston at the moment because there’s a lot of spiritual activity here.” She shook her head and looked away. Skythe fingered his sword. I sensed the seriousness of the situation, but I needed more personal answers before I asked what she meant by spiritual activity.

“What’s an angeline?”

“We’re hybrid,” Tahullah said. “Half angel, half human.”

sexysnippets-fbbanner_14_orig

Happy Sunday! Here are seven lines from my upcoming release, the dark romantic suspense Fiery 10-16. A scorching story of desire, abuse, and bravery.

In this scene, Dawn has taken her children to the fire station in the middle of the night. Just back from an exhausting situation over at campus, Runo is having a shower.

* * *

A silhouette appeared in the locker room door.

Dawn.

So damn sexy in her black mold-to-her-body dress.

What did she want?

Her shiny gaze wandered down his naked chest and abs, and stopped at towel level.

Ah.

Holding his breath, Runo sat on a bench with his elbows on his knees and stared back.

The Night Gardener by E.D. Parr

Congratulations to E.D. Parr on your new release!

Inspired by some wild countryside, and a rushing river that stormed under a bridge so loudly, I couldn’t hear what a friend said to me, for me this story is as much about nature as love. I’ve always believed there are more things in the elegant stream of life than we know about, and this story is about a young man who loves life so much he finds a way to live it. There are some heartstring tugs in this story, and some hot love scenes, because this is a love story. It’s a journey for both characters, Dane and Zachary to deep, lasting love.

The-Night-Gardener-evernightpublishing-MARCH2017-banner2.jpg

Architect, Dane Lovell takes an off-season vacation in an old New England mansion, hoping to ease his broken heart, and spark his imagination. Impressed by the pretty gardens, he’s surprised by the sinister atmosphere of the river than winds through the estate. Dane settles down to his vacation and tries to immerse himself in his drawings. One night, the sound of the back door smashing open in the wind and rain shocks Dane from his work.

Spooky, gorgeous, and enigmatic Zachary Yarrow has brought logs for the fire.

He’s the estate gardener and brings with him not just passion and a love affair for Dane, but a strange, spine-tingling mystery.

Who is Zachary, and what will happen when Dane finds out?

The-Night-Gardener-evernightpublishing-MARCH2017-finalimage.jpg

Read an excerpt

The gardener slotted his logs into the spaces between other logs already in the nook bricked into the side of the fireplace. “Zachary Yarrow.”

Dane folded his arms over his body, wishing he’d thought to close the door as chilling air swept along the hall and into the room. “Dane Lovell.”

Zachary stood, having completed his task. “You’re here off season. I guess you know. I always do the gardens off-season—have done for the last—well, for years. When I’m here, I usually stay in this cottage. I guess I need to find somewhere else this time.”

Cold, Dane accepted the information with a nod. “I need to close the door, Mr. Yarrow.” He returned to the back door and closed it up.

Zachary Yarrow had followed. “You can call me Zachary.”

Dane hung around near the back door. The gardener showed no signs of leaving and Dane didn’t know how to be rude enough just to ask him to go.

“It’s way too dark to garden. You’re wet through.” Dane’s gaze ranged over the sodden sweater Zachary wore, and along the rain-darkened jeans covering Zachary’s muscled thighs.

The guy has to be cold. “Can I offer you a cup of coffee?”

Zachary grinned happily. “A cup of coffee, yeah, that will be great, thanks.”

Dane led the way back into the kitchen. “Sit by one of the radiators and try to dry out a little.” He put water to boil and heaped instant into mugs. “I can lend you a dry sweater…”

Zachary leaned close to the radiator. “It’s okay. I’ll drape my sweater on here. It’ll be dry in no time.” He pulled the soggy item over his head and arranged it on the hot metal flutes.

Dane experienced a shock of attraction as he took in the smooth, muscled chest on display when Zachary turned to him.

“Look, it’s already steaming.”

Dane tore his gaze from Zachary’s body and glanced at the sweater. The kettle boiled and he whipped around to make the coffee, thankful for the diversion.

“Do you take sugar or cream?”

Zachary’s voice came from immediately behind him. “Black, thank you, no sugar.”

Dane closed his eyes to dissipate the surprise Zachary’s silent approach gave him. He edged around to face Zachary, who stood so close Dane’s composure flew clean away as his whole body reacted to the proximity of this complete hunk.

Holy hell, he is completely gorgeous. Dane stepped sideways and picked up a mug. He handed it to Zachary. “Coffee, er, sorry, its instant. I’ve given myself a vacation from grounds and filters.” He smiled apologetically.

Zachary studied him for a few seconds.

Dane had the distinct feeling Zachary knew exactly what he was thinking.

Excerpt:

“Wait up, Kaila.”

She didn’t acknowledge him, and he rushed to catch up with her. He grasped her wrist, spinning her around with force.

“Didn’t you hear me?” he asked.

Kaila’s gaze narrowed. Her lips pursed into an ugly grimace.

“Let go of me, Seamus. Why don’t you let this weak human die already?” She poked him in the chest with her index finger. “I didn’t ask for your help.”

Seamus scrubbed a hand over his face. “What is wrong with you? You’re not making any sense. I know you didn’t ask for my help. I gave it freely, but you aren’t going to deny that we are different, are you?”

“Fuck you.”

Blinding rage took over him. Seamus dug his fingers into her arm. He was tired of all this nonsense. He pulled her closer. Her arm shot out to keep him away, but not fast enough. He swooped down and claimed her lips. She gasped, and he seized the chance to push his tongue into her warm recess. He groaned. She tasted better than he remembered. For a brief moment, she grappled with him, attempting to break lose, but he grabbed her arms with ease and held them behind her back.

He twisted his tongue around hers, drawing it out from its reluctance and forcing it to battle with his. Something in his chest tightened as she responded. Yes. He sucked and tugged and demanded more. She gave it to him. Her body arched against his, her mouth seeking his with almost as much desperation as he possessed. His hold on her slackened. He wanted to touch her everywhere. To press his lips to her body and taste every inch of her. His hand trailed to the curve of her ass, then to her waist. Then, bang! Her knee slammed against his leg. He released her, cursing. He’d probably be incapacitated for life if she’d hit her mark.

“Fuck you, Seamus.”

“Whenever you want, babe. I know you’ve got the hots for me, even if you just tried to castrate me and failed miserably.” He laughed.

Kaila spun and walked away from him again. She was probably not trying to be sultry, but her hips swayed in that way that drove a man to stare. She lifted her arm and gave him the finger. He grinned. She was pissed and sexy. He loved it.

Seamus took in a shaky breath. Watching her back on her feet, her spirit alive and surging, was soothing. He rubbed at the spot where she’d kneed him. It hurt, but it was proof that she was herself again, not lying in a puddle of blood, shredded to pieces by a monster. He glanced at the Dream Catcher’s skeleton out of the corner of his eye. He hadn’t told Kaila the details of what he’d suffered inside the beast. The images of her dead body, broken, destroyed. He didn’t wish his worst enemy a fate like that.

He stretched his wings and snapped them back into place. Even they ached. He adjusted his now-flaccid cock and shuddered. He hurried after Kaila. The place appeared deserted. There were no scones in the wall giving off light. Instead, the walls themselves seemed to pulse with energy. They glowed from the inside as if behind them a relentless flame burned. He frowned. He extended his arm and placed his pinkie on the rock. It burned.

“Damn it.” He put the digit in his mouth, hoping to sooth the sting. “Don’t touch the walls, babe. They’re hot.”

Kaila didn’t reply, but she moved a little closer to the center of the path.

Runo tried to get eye contact with the cops. “Maybe you should…” he started, but Dawn stepped forward and tore the bag of clothes from his hands. Jesus, so fiery.

She was in his space, and she took up all that space, her scent filling his nostrils and her brown doe eyes consuming him. Her whole being enveloped him, swallowed him up. Was she going to flirt again, cause his head to spin, and make him behave irrationally?

“Runo!” Tony again, sounding alarmed. “She’s fucking with your mind, man.”

BLURB

For years, Blake the Snake, as he was known to his Alpha Chi Gamma brothers, took pictures of the conquests of auction winners having sex with their “prizes” at the fraternity’s annual Spring Bacchanalia. It was all in fun, until he stopped a young woman from being raped by the football player who had won her.

From that moment on, Blake Bombay’s life changed forever. He became obsessed with Kendra Kensington, and worked tirelessly to keep her safe. While watching her from afar, he plotted and planned for the day when she would be his. Trouble was, she didn’t know it. She never saw his face that night or learned his name. But that didn’t matter to Blake. She was his. She had always been his, and one day she would be his forever.

EXCERPT

“Oh, wait. What have we here?” He turned her around so her back faced him, and brushed his hand across her soaking wet slit. “Oh, Kendra…”

There was no answer. She couldn’t even moan. She was lost in the heady sensations once more of his hands on her, caressing her in exactly the right way to bring an orgasm close. He played with her clit, teasing it until Kendra’s moans grew loud, and she pushed back against him, wanting more.

“What should I do with you, you naughty girl?”

Oh, what a question! “Anything you want.”

His soft chuckle sent a thrill racing through her. “You might regret saying that.”

“Not a chance.” Every cell in her body tingled with desire.

When he lifted her skirt, he brushed his hand over her ass cheeks, alternating them. “You really do have a beautiful ass.”

“Thank you.” She was out of her mind with need. Nothing existed except his touch on her skin.

The swats on her ass were light at first, but Kendra had to hang onto him once he began. She’d never been so turned on in her life. Her clit contracted in tiny spasms as the strikes grew harder, burning now each time he hit her. But at the same time, Kendra didn’t want him to stop. Her climax inched closer when she flexed her Kegel muscles, sending shockwaves of desire racing through her groin and out to her fingers and toes.

“Let’s see how much you like this.” He brushed his fingers over her labia. “Oh, wow. I’d say a lot.”

The giggles turned to moans when he pushed two fingers into her pussy. Blake kissed her neck as he finger-fucked her, his thumb now rubbing her clit in time to his thrusts. She clutched his arm for support as a crazy orgasm began, and when he realized what was happening, he bent her over the table until her she rested face down on the surface. Her torso was supported, but her ass was bare.

“Please don’t stop, Blake.”

“I won’t, sweetheart.” He continued moving his fingers in out of her until the climax finished. She was so wet, Kendra heard slurping sounds when he finally removed his digits from inside her pussy.

“Oh, fuck.” Blake spanked her a few more times on each cheek, harder this time, before she heard the sound of a zipper. “I can’t wait, Kendra. I’ve never done anything so fucking sexy in my life.”

The tip of his dick rubbed her ass cheeks, and Kendra was certain she’d go out of her mind long before he got it inside her. He ran one finger along the crack of her ass.

“I’m going to fuck you right here, on this table. What do you think about that?”

“Yes. Please!

“Oh, Kendra…” He grasped her right hip and slid his cock into her pussy, groaning loudly. Kendra cried out in pleasure as he slammed into her. His thrusts were quick and powerful, and she loved it. Being taken like this, still fully clothed and bent over the dining room table, was the kinkiest thing she’d ever done.

While David Bowie sang about his China girl, Blake fucked her like a runaway train. When he massaged her clit again, another climax tore through her, making her dizzy with its intensity.

“Kendra … oh my God, this feels so damn fantastic!”

Congratulations to Doris O’Connor on your new release!

Thank you so much for hosting my new release on your blog today. 🙂 Claiming his Human is book 6 in The Projects series, and readers will meet many a familiar face from the previous books.

Don’t worry, though, you do not have to read the previous books in the series, unless you’d like to, of course.

*smiles*

Darius knows Holly is his from the first whiff of her scent in the air. Holly needs some convincing… especially when she finds out that the man she’s been lusting after turns into a huge grizzly bear.

Shifters defend their mates to the death…

Bear shifter Darius Longton never expected to find his mate in his favorite coffee shop, but one sniff of her scent in the air is all it takes for his bear to know the truth. This delicious, sinfully curvy redhead is his.

Too bad she’s human and far too fragile for his volatile bear.

Holly Trent cannot understand the instant attraction she feels for this man. One look from his heavy-lidded eyes is all it takes to set her knickers aflame with lust. However, she will not be another notch on his bedpost, no matter how much his voice alone makes her want to sink to her knees.

But when a customer gets heavy with her, everything changes. Darius’s defense of her places them both in terrible danger. Thrown headfirst into shifter council politics, it falls to Holly to save her mate.

Darius’s eyes flashed from golden to brown and back again, and she lost herself in the intensity of his gaze.

“Holly, what are you doing?” he asked. The gravelly timbre of his voice shot straight to every one of her erogenous zones, not least because his scent increased and wrapped her into a cocoon of his earthy, spicy presence.

“I don’t know. I just want … please … I need.”

A hiss escaped him when she lowered herself back down on his lap and ground her by now sodden crotch over his cock.

Another one of those earth-shattering deep rumbles came from the man she was dry humping like some sort of wanton hussy, and in the next instant, his large fingers dug into her hips with enough force to leave bruises. Shivers of apprehension, or excitement, she wasn’t sure which raced down her spine.

Darius lowered his head so that their foreheads touched. Their breaths mingled, and the world stood still, as she waited for him to move, to do something, anything.

She couldn’t get her voice to work past the huge lump of emotion which clogged up her throat, so she simply breached the distance between them and pressed her lips against his. His groan rumbled through her, and then he took charge of the kiss. Just like before, their surroundings faded into the background, as he deepened the kiss, and she gave herself up to the myriad of sensations that immediately assaulted her. With his hands firmly clamped around her hips, she couldn’t move, couldn’t do anything but tug at the strands of his hair which had come loose from his ponytail. The action seemed to incite his bear, because he broke the kiss, and ran his nose along her neck, inhaling deeply.

“Fuck, Holly, you better be sure, because all I want to do is push those panties away and bury myself deep inside your sweet cunt until you have no doubt who you belong to.”

He yanked her up slightly while he traced one hand along her hip until he could cup her pussy.

“So fucking wet for me, little one.”

Incapable of uttering anything but incoherent moans, Holly rubbed herself against that hand.

“Oh, yeah, I can smell your need. Tell me this pussy is mine. Ask me for my cock. I need to hear you say the words, my sweet.”

His voice, full of heated promise, didn’t sound like him at all, more animal than human, and she responded to the almost desperate tones in kind.

“Just fuck me already, will you?”

A sharp tug on her hair brought tears to her eyes, and she whined her disappointment when he pulled back to study her. Try as she might she couldn’t close the distance between them.

“Ask me nicely, girl, or I’ll stop this instant.”

Holly’s flippant reply stuck in her throat when she properly looked at him because the determination edged in his hungry features told their own story. He meant what he’d said, and despite the massive erection tenting his suit trousers, which must cost him dearly, he would get up and leave her wanting. His thighs flexed under hers, and Holly swallowed hard when he released his grip on her hair and grasped her wrists instead. She was no match for his superior strength, even if she had tried to resist him, as he slowly pulled her hands away from him, and pinned them behind her back. The action thrust her breasts out at him, and her breathing sped up when his gaze slowly dipped lower until it rested on her straining cleavage. Her nipples pushed against the fabric of her lacy bra, hard little beacons of lust pointing straight at Darius, positively begging for his attention. Darius transferred both her wrists into one of his large hands and then slowly brought his free hand into view. His knuckles skimmed across the hypersensitive tips of her nipples, and Holly whimpered her need.

A wicked grin flashed across his features, and he repeated the action several times until Holly was pretty sure she would self-combust if he didn’t do something else. Incomprehensible sounds spilled from her lips, and she couldn’t tear her gaze away from the sight of his large, tanned hand against her pale flesh.

“Hmm, so beautifully responsive, my sweet. I bet you could come from this alone.”

Holly gasped in fascination as one of his fingernails formed into a wicked-looking claw, and he used that lethally sharp appendage to run ever tightening circles around first one nipple and then the other until Holly thought she would scream. When he added another claw to lightly score her skin the pleasure pain acted like a livewire of electricity connected her clit to her boobs.

Her hips took on a life of their own, and her pussy muscles clenched and released desperate for his cock to fill her.

“Please, I need to … please, Sir, I want your cock.”

The words were out of her mouth before her brain had even cottoned on to what she was saying. Darius stilled, his eyes flashed fire at her, and for the first time since she’d initiated this, a trickle of fear snaked up her spine. Not enough for her to put a stop to this, whatever this insanity which seemed to hold her in its grip would amount to, but enough to make her already far too fast heartbeat turn into a sledgehammer inside her chest.

Her vision dimmed, and all reasoning fled her brain in a puff of smoke because Darius looked more animal than human. He looked as though he wanted to eat her alive, and before she could even fathom his intention, her hands were free. The audible rip of her knickers giving way, as he tore them off her sounded far too loud in the quiet room, and then his fingers slipped inside her pussy and she groaned in need. Her head fell forward on his shoulders, even as she instinctively spread her thighs wider apart to give his questing digits better access.

“You’re so fucking wet, my sweet. Come for me, baby.”

“In love with you” #SexySnippets from LIVE

sexysnippets-fbbanner_14_orig

Happy Sunday! Here are seven lines from my story LIVE in the erotic contemporary romance anthology Girl Code.

Ex-drug addict Juls meets a ghost from the past, a broken man going through the same hell as her.

* * *

“No.” Reef drew an audible breath and cocked his head. “I kissed you ’cause I’m in love with you.”

“You’re what?” Juls gaped.

“In love with you.”

The steadfastness of his declaration made it sound real, but she’d seen and heard too much in her time to believe anything at first try. “Y-you’re kidding me.”

“No, I’m not.”

She stood paralyzed. How could this handsome man develop such feelings for her? She, the ugly duckling, the society outcast. Surely, life would never give her love.

girlcode-customdesign-jayAheer2015-complete

Just off methadone, Juliette “Juls” Carrington is determined to get her life on track after seven years as a druggie. Her sole companion is a diary in which she keeps everything from her reflections to bus tickets and faded flower petals; a documentary of life on the streets.

Learning the news of her beloved grandmother’s death, Juls returns to her hometown in the hopes that her family will see the new person she’s become and make peace – to no avail. Once more rejected, she wanders to a pond nearby, where as a child she used to find solace with three girls she calls her sisters.

She meets a band of squatters camping in the woods, and, experiencing the same fraternity as among inner-city homeless, spends an enlivening afternoon in the wild. At night, the mysterious Reef, a shadow from her past, shows her what a beautiful thing sex can be.

The next morning, Juls awakes to complete chaos. The camp is ravaged by the police, a dog terrifies her, Reef is arrested, and to make things worse, her diary is missing. How will she fund her lover’s bail – and who could be interested in the story of an outcast?

Excerpt

“Let me see you, Ben.”

Without a word he loosened the knot in the towel and let it fall.

He reminded her of a da Vinci nude she’d once seen, every muscle developed without unnecessary bulk and giving the impression of restrained power. His chest was the same from her memories at the pool, beautifully shaped pads of pectoral muscle and shoulders ending in curved deltoids that she wanted to grip. The same light scattering of blond chest hair narrowed to a trail that led down over trim abs to his navel and beyond.

His legs were those of a runner, lean muscle and tendon rising in powerful mounds at the backs of his calves, along the length of his thighs. The hair covering them was sparser, only slightly darker than the hair on his chest, and curled against his indoor-pale skin.

Taking a deep breath, she looked at his groin. The hair darkened here, turning sandy brown and curling in a springy nest around a well-shaped cock, neatly circumcised. It had thickened a little, judging from the way it stood out from his body, but wasn’t anywhere near full erection yet.

He laughed softly. “You should see your face. You look like all your birthdays and Christmases came at once.”

“I think they just did.” There were no scars, no signs that any part of his body was artificial. “You’re perfect.”

He glanced down at himself. “I think you may be a little biased, but thank you.” His pupils expanded, compressing all the light blue into a thin ring around each black pool. “Besides, you’re the one who’s perfect.”

He came to her and knelt, gently urging her knees apart so that he could move closer. Her heart raced as he loosened the belt on her robe, letting it fall to each side. The terrycloth gaped open, putting her on display the same way he’d done for her.

He didn’t say anything for a minute as he drank her in. The nervousness she’d felt earlier was gone, banished by the naked worship in his eyes. “You’re everything I ever wanted.” His voice was husky. “You’re so beautiful, baby.”

She fought back the sudden urge to cry from sheer relief. “Kiss me. Please.”

He did, his chest pressing against her breasts as he slid the robe down her arms, his mouth devouring hers. She surrendered to the delicious sensation, every brush and teasing press lighting up her nerve endings like wildfire. When his tongue trailed along the soft inner flesh of her lips she opened them, welcoming him in. Between her thighs an echoing heat began to build.

It was the night in the front seat of the GoCar all over again, but this time they didn’t have to stop. And it was much better than the evening in the park hotel because now he knew who she was, who he was.

His tongue danced around hers before breaking away to lick at the roof of her mouth. A shocking pulse of pure sensation ran through her body and she moaned into his mouth.

She broke away for a necessary breath and heard him chuckle. “Okay, so I like that,” she muttered, amused by his smugness.

“Good. I like making you moan, baby. Plan on doing a lot of it, to be honest.”

About Nicola Cameron

Nicola Cameron is a married woman of a certain age who really likes writing about science fiction, fantasy, and sex. When not writing about those things, she likes to make Stuff™. And she may be rather fond of absinthe.

While possessing a healthy interest in sex since puberty, it wasn’t until 2012 that she decided to write about it. The skills picked up during her SF writing career transferred quite nicely to speculative romance. Her To Be Written work queue currently stands at around nineteen books, and her mojito-sodden Muse swans in from Bali every so often to add to the list, cackling to herself all the while.

Nicola plans to continue writing until she drops dead over her keyboard or makes enough money to buy a private island and hire Rory McCann as her personal trainer/masseur, whichever comes first.

blurb

Jessica Morris has a secret that could get her killed. Hiding in plain sight, pretending to be normal, is all she’s ever known. And even though she’s been lucky so far, she knows that she can’t hide in Shifter Falls forever. Getting involved with the town sheriff is the last thing she needs, but lately it’s all she can think about.

Novak Porter has watched Jessica since the first day she came into town. He suspects that, like everyone else in Shifter Falls, she’s got a skeleton or two in her closet. She’s nervous around him, and for years he’s forced himself to give her time. But when a chance encounter throws them together for more than five minutes, Novak decides he’s tired of waiting. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep her around. Convincing her to work for him is easy, but getting her to believe in happily ever after might be a little more difficult.

Jessica turned to the voice in the darkness. The sexiest voice on the face of the planet. “Sheriff,” she said, her pulse increasing when she turned to look at him.

He looked as if he had been built of stone, and again she wondered just exactly what sort of shifter he was. No one seemed to know, or be willing to share, which was very strange in a town like Shifter Falls. Then again, she didn’t let anyone know what she was, either, so it could just be a privacy thing.

“I’m not sure what’s going on, but suddenly all the electronics inside the car went completely dead. The lights, dash, everything. I’m afraid it’s the alternator, since it has a brand-new battery.” She might be a lot of things, but she wasn’t completely stupid. “And I think that Jagger’s cub swiped my cell phone, again, so do you think you could maybe call a tow for me?” She shook her head. “That little guy gets me every single time. I swear he’s taken more cell phones off of me than I can count. Phi is never able to find them, so there’s no telling what he does with them.” She was snickering as she said that. She didn’t know why she was talking so much, but she was.

The sheriff was watching her intently and didn’t seem all that bothered by her random rambling. He merely pulled out his cell and put in a call for a truck. “Mick will come get your car. He said to leave the keys on the passenger front tire since he might be a while. They had to pull a couple cars from a slough after some young twits decided that drag racing with their parents’ cars was a good plan. Come on, I’ll give you a ride home.”

She whistled. “Oh boy. I bet there are going to be some kids in serious trouble about right now. Thanks for the offer of the ride.” She grabbed her purse, locked the car, and put the keys on the front passenger tire as she had been instructed. “You’ll probably be going out of your way a bit. I live at twenty-nine Forest Acre Road.” It was a dirt road surrounded by forest and she loved it. Nature called to her, and at least there she didn’t have to worry about nulling any abilities as she typically did when she was near other witches.

“No worries at all. It keeps me out of the station until the parents have finally wound down to a dull roar and the kids have had a few minutes for everything to sink in. Anyhow, I think that an hour’s worth of stewing before I arrive to come up with some interesting charges might help the situation. By then I’ll know if the lawyers have actually been called in or not and can figure out how to play this to keep the kids from doing something worse down the line.” The sheriff held her door for her, then shut it when she settled into her seat. A minute later he was setting out reflective markers behind her car before sliding in behind the wheel to take her toward town and home.

“You are a good man. Too bad you can’t keep a secretary to save your gorgeous ass.” She felt her face turn red from heat when she realized she’d blurted that out. “Crap, ignore me. I don’t know what I’m saying.” She cringed, but then shrugged. Since it was too late to take her candid observation back, she pressed on. “Well, from what I understand, you have gone through thirteen of them inside of three months. That’s outstanding right there.”

He leveled a look on her she couldn’t read. She was only thankful he seemed to ignore her initial comment and it allowed her cheeks to cool. “I have a specific way I expect things to be done. And, I admit, my temper can get the best of me. Everything we do can be called into question inside a courtroom. If even one I isn’t dotted right, or a T was missed being crossed, that is potentially a dangerous offender being allowed out on the street due to clerical error. Unacceptable in my book so, yes, I have some impossibly high standards I expect to be carried out by every man and woman in the department.”

“No, not impossibly high standards. They are perfectly reasonable. The way that everyone made it sound you were seriously a neat freak nut job, but what you’re saying doesn’t sound like that at all.” She understood the importance of perfect record keeping, of ensuring that everything was where it should be at all times. “When the council took me on as their secretary, I had to redo a hell of a lot of stuff because the person before me couldn’t seem to understand that paperwork is filed by number then letter. Idiots.” She smirked and looked over at him. “I guess I have high standards as well. Then again since I’m a witch without abilities, I have to be able to contribute somehow, right? Especially with my mother’s coven proclaiming me to be nothing but a human.” That’s what all of Shifter Falls thought of her, and she was happy to keep it that way. When she’d first started out on her own, she’d wondered if it wouldn’t have been smarter, and safer, to try to hide even the fact that she’d been born into a witch family. Ultimately she’d decided that it was better to stick as close to the truth as possible. So she never tried to hide the fact that she had been born to witch parents. It was unlikely that she would ever run into anyone from her old coven, but on the off chance that she did, she didn’t want to arouse suspicion by being caught in a lie. Besides, being known as a witch without powers—therefore, more or less, human—kept her just as safe as if she’d tried to pass herself off as a normal human.

“I’m glad you understand. Few do,” he muttered. “I think the council foisted their rejects my way for some form of payback. They all loved the idea when the mayor had me run for office and I won by a landslide, but the minute I arrested the first council member and wouldn’t take a bribe, they started to wonder. Told them the same thing I told the mayor when he hired me—I was going to run things my way, and if they found someone that could run against me and get elected that would be the only way they’d get me out of that seat. They haven’t had any luck yet.”

Jess knew it was because the sheriff was respected by every citizen in the Falls as well as the other two cities that made up their exceptionally small county. While not everyone agreed with his methods and strict by-the-book ways, they liked how he’d cleaned up and kept the area protected from a drug problem several years back when he’d first taken the position.

“You cleaned up the area. No one would run against you. You’re too good at your job, so it is what it is.” She shrugged. “You are strict and you can be an ass from what I’ve been told, but then again there are a lot of falsehoods that fly through Shifter Falls, aren’t there?” she asked with a smile.

“True enough. The trick is determining what’s truth and what’s lie in everything that goes around town. It’s amazing what one can discover the moment they find that tiny thread and give it a tug. After all, there’s not a soul in this town that is exactly who they appear to be on the surface once you dig down a little further.”

Forfeit (Degrees of Separation 1) by Allyson Young and Lydia Michaels

Congratulations to Allyson Young and Lydia Michaels on your new release!

The debut novel of a masterfully emotional, high stakes trilogy that will have readers forfeiting tradition to gamble with love…

December and Austin have a traditional, storybook marriage complete with defined roles. Married young, they’ve shared nearly a decade of passion and love. December’s submissive nature is perfectly suited for her husband’s authoritative, yet adoring response and he seamlessly holds the indisputable role as head of the household.

But Austin harbors secrets, and the pressure of losing his job makes those festering skeletons impossible to ignore. Turning to alcohol instead of his wife, Austin finally drives December away and into the arms of their closest friend, Cord, despite her intense loyalty.

Cord has loved December since the day they met. His moral compass is challenged and lines are blurred when Austin steps aside and insists Cord take his place.

Forfeiting all, Austin must face a harsh truth. Take control of his life, or forever lose the woman he loves.

WARNING: This book contains subject matter suitable for mature reading audiences. Some content may be offensive to sensitive readers. Degrees of Separation is a ménage trilogy with many emotionally graphic encounters and challenging situations that break the rules of traditional romance.

Excerpt

It was like he no longer saw her, just looked right through her, when she used to be all he could see in the whole world. No matter what she did, he stayed away—alone—wandering through the house at night and sleeping all day. She had pride too, and he’d been chipping away at it, scarring her with deep tattoos of doubt.

Something happened to a woman when her husband no longer touched her. First there were the superficial frustrations of unrequited desire, but then it became something worse. The insecurity, fear, and uncertainty ate away at her insides.

Her self-esteem fractured, perhaps beyond repair. Tiny little shards of self-worth were all she had left. Even if he came to her now, begging and full of apologies, she feared someone might get cut.

This rut seemed to get deeper and darker every day. She was losing sight of the light and worried she’d never see herself out. She needed to feel alive, feel something. She needed to reclaim control and pull herself back to her feet, which was why this job with Cord was imperative.

Excerpt from Malediction

Alistair spotted the gorgeous brunette across the room and, when she approached the refreshment table, he followed. For a millisecond he’d taken her for the scrawny woman in the red dress, but on closer inspection he was pleased to note the differences. Same dress, but the way this woman wore it, he was tempted to peel it from her, inch by scrumptious inch.

His pack mate had poured a few bottles of something into the punch and, while it was entertaining to watch some of the guests succumb to the antics of the season, he didn’t quite feel the same about the sexy female in front of him. This woman would be far more interesting sober, he had a hunch and his predictions usually turned out to be spot on. The markings on her arms intrigued him and he wondered if they covered more of her body. Like tendrils of smoke curling around her flesh, they spiraled around her skin in an unending pattern, giving him the urge to trace every single one and see where it led.

He should be home at Briarwood, but his duties as Beta brought him here to make sure Jessup didn’t get too out of hand. So far the pup had been a bit mischievous, but nothing that would make him worry. Whatever concerns he had melted when he gazed at the beauty in front of him, his animal taking control.

Serious gray eyes winked at him from behind an elegant lacy black mask and he had the urge to peek beneath it to see what she was hiding. Full lips bowed below the mask, and her mass of dark hair was wound into an up-do that he longed to plunge his fingers into while he explored her mouth with his.

Jesus, Alastair. Get a grip.

His wolf perked up when she’d come into view and his instinct to bed her followed in quick succession. He shook it off with a frown. One night stands were not his style, especially with women he didn’t know. He had other concerns and, as soon as he made sure Jessup wasn’t going to fuck up and intoxicate half of the wealthier citizens of Salem, he was out of here. Duncan was still missing and he’d left Laurel in charge in his stead.

But, her eyes. Fuck. They fairly glowed with a power that socked him in the gut as they watched him from behind the mask. When she wet her lips and took her bottom lip between her teeth, he almost lost the battle with himself not to let his beast take over and drag her into the nearest coat closet.

“Are you here with someone?” He cleared his throat, aware of the growl threading through his voice.

“No. Are you?”

“Just a couple of friends. What do you think? Want to end up in a compromising situation with a stranger?” He grinned and, seeing Jessup approach, steered her away from the refreshment table. Alistair wanted her to himself, at least for a little while.

“Seven deadly sins? How about a dance? With my footwork, that could lead towards all kinds of infractions.”

“Hmm.” He swung her into his arms and into the crowd, relishing the sensation of his hand on her lower back. The plunging view offered by her bodice made his body stand at attention and the wolf beneath his skin whined with want. “So, which deadly sin could you possibly have that would sink a guy faster than lust? That dress…”

“These shoes.”

“Oh, but those… those are not a sin. Not at all. In fact, I could look at them all night long.”

“You could, could you?” The woman laughed, deep and sensual. Her eyes snapped with amusement. “Then you try wearing them.”

“Maybe I will.” He wanted her, and the closer they got, the more obvious it was going to become. He weaved her around the dance floor, her movements matching his. Her perfume and the spicy scent of her hair were making it hard to concentrate. At the look in her eyes, he dragged her back hard against him, his animal wild in his blood.

“Do you want to get out of here?”

“Please.”

“Let’s get some air.” Alistair led her out onto the balcony, the twinkle lights flickered making the grounds outside the hotel look enchanted. He had to clear his head.

“Who are you?” Alistair brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

“I’m just a girl who needs an escape from reality. How about you?”

“Same here.”

“Just a girl, huh?” The mystery woman smiled.

He gathered her into his arms, letting her feel the full force of his arousal. “I don’t know. I’m not feeling much like a girl right now.”

“No. I didn’t think you were.” She leaned into his embrace, her lips curving up in an inviting smile.

“What’s your name?”

“Bridget. Yours?”

“Alistair.”

“Well, Alistair. It’s nice to meet you. I have one question.”

“What’s that?”

“How long is it going to take for you to kiss me?”

“Time me.” Alistair’s mouth covered hers hungrily and he forced her mouth open with his thrusting tongue. She gasped, trembling within his embrace and he pulled her deeper into the shadows, away from prying eyes.

Read an excerpt

A soft sound of regret that he’d given his heart away so easily escaped Dale and then the sudden slowing of the train grabbed his attention. Thrown a little forward by the rapid decrease in speed, Dale huddled back in his seat. No one sat beside him and the magazine he’d placed on the adjacent seat flew off forcefully as the train ground to a halt.

People stood and gaped out of the windows. Dale peered out at the white expanse sparkling in the morning sun, unaware until then that the train had even traveled into snow-covered country. The hum of concerned questions filled the carriage as people looked around and talked in hushed voices. There’d been no collision, no terrible sound of an accident and Dale, in the fog of his misery, waited quietly for some indication of what was going on.

An announcement floated from the practically invisible speaker at the front of the carriage. A pretty sound chimed and a soothing voice stated the obvious before giving information.

“Translines Rail has made an unscheduled stop. We apologize for the inconvenience. There is no need for alarm. We will shortly be mobile again when a passenger has boarded. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your journey.”

Dale bent to pick up the magazine that had fallen to the floor of the carriage. He hadn’t even placed a fingertip on the glossy cover when a hand extending from the cuff of a black jacket sleeve took hold of the magazine, and lifted it.

Dale swiftly looked sideways to see who the hand belonged to, and came face-to-face with a gorgeous man. Something about the man made Dale’s heart lurch, which scared him, and because of the scare his heartbeat increased. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, trying to calm this sudden flare of nerves. He gave up on retrieving his reading material and sat up in the plush velveteen train seat waiting for what would happen next.

“Your journal. Is the seat free?” The man’s gentle voice soothed him only a little as he held Dale’s magazine out, and gave an indicative nod toward the vacant seat beside Dale.

“Thank you, and yes the seat is free.” Captured by his outright beauty, Dale tried not to stare at the man. He dropped his gaze to the colorful shot on the cover, and accepted the magazine, holding it on his lap.

The man sat.

Dale struggled not to look at the passenger beside him, whose cologne now filled up his senses with a delicate, fresh, scent, a fragrance capturing the cool breeze crossing the ocean on a summer night, somehow full of promise. The suit the man wore was visibly expensive. Dale knew quality when he saw it even if it was only on a quick look. As a photographer for major fashion magazines, he’d gathered a knowledge and appreciation for clothes.

Dale stared ahead and wondered if this man was the passenger the train had stopped for. He edged a little away from the central armrest dividing the seats—their size was generous and the man wasn’t even close, but Dale could feel his presence as if gripped by a magnetic force. Finally, unable to help it, Dale chanced a sideways glance.

From the author:

The story ‘Falling Star Valentine’ was inspired by shooting stars. We all know shooting stars are falling meteorites, but the romance remains when one streaks across the midnight blue sky, and when two, in close succession, zoom over the night vista as you stand on your hotel balcony, it’s a sight to behold. I travel a little with my day job and in the autumn of 2016, I had to travel a lot more than usual. One night when I couldn’t sleep because I was churning worries around, I went out onto the balcony of the hotel room I was staying in and stared up at the sky. The night sparkled cold and the sky displayed an array of stars suddenly seeming only meters away a shooting star flew across my line of vision, then another as if it followed the first.

I’m a die-hard romantic and immediately my sweet but sexy character, Valentine Steel, had formed in my head. He’s Falling Star Valentine on his way to visit earth. Will he find love?

“This hot piece of female ass” #Sexysnippets from FIERY 10-16

sexysnippets-fbbanner_14_orig

Happy Sunday! Here are seven lines from my upcoming release, the dark romantic suspense Fiery 10-16. A story of abuse, courage, and perseverance.

This is from the first scene, when firefighter Runo meets a most astounding woman.

* * *

Fiery 1016_eBook cover 400x600

Runo Wiggins is a scarred man, the wounds etched into his psyche deeper than those on his skin. But he loves his job: fighting fires helps reenact his survival of a house fire as a teen, one that killed his mother and brutal stepfather.

Dawn Caravello is married to a psychotic drunk. She can take his beatings as long as he doesn’t touch their children, and she’ll do anything to put food on the table, even if it means stealing from the town hero.

When Runo meets the fiery Dawn, sparks fly. But he suspects she is victim of the same abuse as his mother was. As day turns to night, the past and the present blend in an exhausting, hold-your-breath chase to prevent another death.
