Testing Tom by Lucy Felthouse (@cw1985)

Congratulations to my fellow Evernight author Lucy Felthouse on her new release!

TestingTom

When Katrina’s ex, Tom, turns up on her doorstep, he’s literally the last person she was expecting to see. After dumping her and running off with a vanilla chick, Tom broke the Domme’s heart and left her seriously hurting. So when he returns, begging for another chance, Katrina is understandably very confused and protective of her bruised feelings. She finds it very difficult to believe that he’s turned his back on a vanilla lifestyle for good and wants to be with her, a professional dominatrix. Rather than letting her head or her heart figure out what to do, whether to forgive him, she decides to put Tom through a series of challenges that will prove his devotion to her—or not. Testing Tom is not something she’d ever expected she’d have to do, but to her, it’s the only way she can be sure whether he’s back for good.

Excerpt:

Katrina was halfway through an episode of her favorite drama series when her doorbell rang. She jumped, gasping as her heart lurched painfully, then pressed ‘pause’ on the remote control. Wincing slightly as she unfolded her legs from beneath her bottom—she’d been watching the program back-to-back for a couple of hours and she was stiff—she moved to the window and peered out through a gap in the curtains, careful not to let the mystery visitor see her, should she need to ignore them. Cold callers were common in her area, and drove her crazy. If she wanted to buy something, she’d contact them, not the other way around.

As it happened, it wasn’t a salesperson. She ducked back from the window, clenched her hands into fists.

“What the fuck is he doing here?”

He was literally the last person she’d expected to see standing at her door. Prince William or George Clooney would have been less of a shock.

For there, outside her house, stood the man that had broken her heart several months ago. Thomas Black. She hadn’t seen hide nor hair of him since, and now, totally out of the blue, he’d turned up.

Katrina contemplated ignoring him, going back to her show and pretending she wasn’t in. But apparently that wasn’t an option.

“I know you’re there, Katrina,” he yelled through the letterbox, “your car is on the drive, and I can see the glow of the telly through the curtains.”

Katrina decided it was time to get thicker curtains. Not wanting to cause a scene, which her nosey neighbors would no doubt adore, she moved to the front door, unlocked it and flung it open.

“Get in,” she said, quickly closing the door behind him, then turning to face her unwanted visitor. “What the hell do you want?”

He held his hands up in supplication, then spoke. “Look, I know I’m probably the last person you expected to see—wanted to see—but I have to talk to you. Please?”

He adopted the puppy-dog look he’d long-since perfected. Katrina sighed.

“You’ve got five minutes. Sit down.”

They moved over to the sitting area, and Katrina deliberately sat in the chair, so Tom couldn’t sit next to her. Settling onto the end of the sofa nearest to her, he clasped his hands together, presumably to summon his courage, and began.

“Kat, I’m here to say I’m sorry, all right? I was wrong, so wrong, to finish with you the way I did and go off with Alicia.”

“She dumped you, has she?” Katrina clenched her teeth, and felt the rage beginning to build inside her. If Tom thought he could come running back to her because his bimbo had ditched him, then he had another think coming.

“No,” he said firmly, and, she suspected, honestly. “I finished with her, actually. When I realized that I wasn’t happy with her. She never made me feel the way you do, Kat. Not once. And I know, I know it’s my fault. I wanted something… different from what we had, or at least I thought I did. I couldn’t help thinking at the time that what we did was wrong, was weird. Abnormal, even. So when Alicia started flirting with me at work, I started thinking perhaps I should try for something normal. Like everybody else out there.”

He fixed her with his soulful gaze, and continued. “But I couldn’t have been more wrong. Yes, Alicia offered me normality, a vanilla relationship, but I soon discovered it couldn’t satisfy me. Sure, she could make me come in all the usual ways—”

“Ugh, I don’t want to hear this, Tom. I don’t want to hear about your sex life with someone else!”

“Sorry, Kat. Please, just let me finish?”

When she gave a curt nod, he carried on speaking.

“Alicia could make me come in all the usual ways—I am just a man, after all—but it wasn’t the same. Wasn’t as good. It wasn’t long before I started to miss you, miss what we had together, both in and out of the bedroom. I ignored it for as long as I could, forced myself to make the effort with Alicia, but it just got to the stage where I couldn’t do it anymore. Couldn’t ignore what I was, what I enjoyed, what I needed. And that’s you, Kat. I need you, and everything that goes with you.”

As a Domme, Katrina had become an expert in hiding her feelings, whether she was aroused, angry, happy, sad… it was all stuffed behind a stern facial expression. Now, though, she almost faltered. When Tom had left her, she’d remained cool and silent until the door had slammed. Then she’d broken down. She’d been deeply in love with him, and his decision had left her devastated. Months down the line, her love for him hadn’t faded, not one bit, and the fact that he was here, right now, apparently trying to get her back, was something she’d never expected. She didn’t know whether to laugh, cry or throw something at him.

She didn’t do any of those things. She kept her face straight, her thoughts whizzing through her head at a hundred miles per hour. Eventually, after letting him squirm in his seat for a minute or so, she replied. “So what exactly are you saying, Tom? What do you want?” She knew the answer, but she wanted to make him suffer, the way he had done to her after ditching her for something, someone, that could never satisfy him.

Erotic Teaser…

“Fuck. You’re so wet, Vick.”

She didn’t answer, but ground her hips into his hand and moaned. Her movements might have made him want to drive into her, if he hadn’t been so mesmerized by the sounds she made. He felt a new sense of greediness overcome him. He no longer cared about how he felt. He wanted to see how far he could take her.

He used his index finger with the middle finger this time. Thrusting inside of her he worked his fingers in and out, pushing deep inside while hitting the back of her cervix.

Her body bucked and she whimpered his name while moaning. He looked down at her. Her face was flush and her full and round tits bounced with every move she made. The taut peaks of her nipples called out to him. It had been far too long since he laved one of them with his tongue.

Opening his mouth, he latched on to one of her nipples and sucked it into his mouth. He kept up the ministrations with his fingers. He could hear her breathing hitch and her voice was beginning to become squeakier the more he worked his fingers deeper inside her pussy.

Erotic Teaser…

He slid his fingers past the slick folds of her pussy and dipped his middle finger inside. A whimper tore from her, which he quickly swallowed. He loved feasting on the lascivious noises that came from her. They were like fuel to his fire, encouraging him to take more.

Hot juices coated his finger as he continued to play with her, ensuring her readiness for him. He pulled his finger out and worked her wetness up and down along her slit. With his thumb he pressed against her clit and strummed it. He alternated his pressure, touching soft and then hard, moving faster and then slower. He continued the taunt until her body started to squirm against him. His cock twitched in anticipation when he felt her start to move. He knew his Cilla and knew she was past the point of no return.

Pulling his hand out from between them, he lifted her up, effectively breaking their kiss. They stared at one another breathlessly as he pushed her back until she hovered over his cock. She straddled him as he positioned himself at her entrance. With his cock fisted in his hand he looked into her eyes like he had so many times before. They were blue and absolutely breathtaking. There wasn’t a spec to her irises that he didn’t know. He studied every microscopic millimeter of those eyes and knew them as surely as he knew her body. He sensed her hesitation despite her readiness. He knew they needed to talk about her letter, about why she did it and about so many things. This wasn’t the time, though. He needed this, and from the gaze he saw in her eyes, he knew she did, too. She didn’t say a word as he pushed himself forward. Her head dropped back and her body arched into his thrust.

Sweet Jesus.

Thank you so much for having me as a guest today!

Excerpt from Another Night, Another Planet:

“Okay, what do you do? How’d you end up on Elatia?”

“A little of this and that. Transporting small packages between planets, mostly.” Cargo no one else wanted to carry. He grasped her hips, sliding her toward him, her robe slipping up her thighs. She grasped his shoulders and stared at him, eyes wide. But no objection came from her lips, so he continued. “As for why I’m here, well, I came to meet you. Right now, I don’t want to be anywhere else.”

Her cheeks flushed, and he could think of nothing but having his way with her. He leaned forward, tasting her sweet lips. She didn’t pull away, but wrapped her arms around him. Lining his tongue along the edge of her mouth, he deepened the kiss. He absorbed her essence into every cell. He couldn’t get enough. Reaching between their bodies, he undid the tie around his waist. Then hers. Delirious, he pulled the robes from between them until skin pressed against skin. Exactly as they were meant to be. Nibbling his way down her neck, he took pleasure in her soft whimpers. She leaned back, opening herself to him. For a moment, he could do nothing but stare at her luscious body, unable to believe she was there with him again.

He ran his tongue across her stomach, from her navel, all the way up to one of her rosy peaks, the taste of tropical fruits and her femininity overwhelming his senses. He sucked a nipple into his mouth, drawing his teeth over her tender skin. She cried out, but held him there rather than pushing him away. As he switched to savor her other breast, she began to rock over him. His semi-hard-on turned into a rock, seeking out a warm pussy. The head of his penis slid easily along her wet lips, but he refused to take the plunge. Way too soon.

Rising to his feet, he laid Ava across the lounger. “Stay here. I’ll be right back.”

He rushed over to the gourmet spread of food before his lust took over and he ruined the evening. Collecting a selection of pastries filled with creams and small chunks of juicy fruit, he took a deep breath, trying to stifle his aching cock. Anxious to satisfy another hunger, he carried the plate over to Ava.

He kneeled in front of her. A smile radiated across her face. “Thank you. I didn’t expect the eletin to affect me so much. It’s like the alcohol on Earth. I want you, don’t get me wrong, but….”

Setting a chunk of fruit between his teeth, he captured her lips again. Their tongues darted around the juicy flesh until he swallowed it down. He licked a trail of sweet nectar down her neck. Gods, he’d missed her.

Pinching one of the flaky pastries, he wiped its cream onto her pert, rosy nipples. Hunger and lust pulsed through him, but under it all, something more. More than want. He needed her. Always had. He refused to walk away from her again. Tonight was about more than pleasure, a one-night stand. Somehow, he had to convince her to never return to Earth, to stay with him. An impossible task. But he had to try.

Excerpt:

“Tonight went well.” Will Garrison slumped onto a chair and stared across the empty cavern. All the inhabitants of the Underground safe houses had already returned to their rooms. Other members of the rebellion to the main headquarters under the city. The festive party had provided a temporary reprieve from what was to come.

Tim Harris stood behind him. “Yes, I’d say the evening was a success. The weddings reminded people what we’re fighting for.” He dug his thumbs into Will’s tense back muscles.

He groaned. “God, that feels good.” For the first time in days, he had a minute to sit and rest his aching body. This quiet moment with his lover offered an occasion to fulfill other needs as well. He wished he had more time with Tim, more instances to satisfy his desires, complete his soul. Only a few knew the extent of their relationship, but Tim wasn’t around enough for people to catch them in each other’s arms. After tomorrow, Will planned to tell the world how much he loved Tim.

“You need to relax.” Tim kissed the top of his head. “The leader of the rebellion needs to be in top form.”

“You’re just as much a part of this as I am.” Everything would go down the next day. All of their plans would be put into action at dawn, he and Tim each leading a different team. And by sundown, they’d make sure Benson Malock paid for all the lives he’d ruined and ended. Planet Core would no longer be under his control.

“I still wish you would take a larger group with you, especially Jacobs and Edwards. They just returned from Airondelle, traveled through the portals.”

He sighed, not wanting to have the argument again. They’d made their plans, instructed everyone where to go and what to do. “I know, but I need to keep my party small. You’re supposed to be the distraction so we can sneak in the back door. The more people you have, the better.”

“I only hoped….” Tim tensed behind him, suddenly still.

Will twisted around, grasping his hands. “Don’t worry about tomorrow. Everything will happen exactly as we’ve planned. In the evening, we’ll be celebrating again. Our victory.” He wrapped his arms around Tim, kissing his hard lips. A moan escaped, hunger rushing through his veins.

“But let’s forget about that for tonight.” He needed to be reminded of his purpose for fighting, too. Freedom. Freedom for the people, and freedom to love whomever he wanted.

Tim stroked the front of his pants. He hardened under his touch, aching with need. Bulge pressing against an open palm, Will craved the warm physique of his lover. So much time had passed since they’d last been intimate. Even with Tim’s return from Airondelle as their medic three days earlier, they’d had no time alone, due to their hasty preparations to attack Planet Core. His intense longing left him vulnerable, thinking unclearly. He needed a release to purge his mind, regain focus. And by the hard lines on his lover’s face, so did Tim.

Gripping the edges of the cotton material, he pulled the medic’s tunic over his head and untied the rope holding his pants up, releasing his thick sex. A deep grunt echoed through the room. He ran his hands down Tim’s strong arms, across the hardened planes of his chest. A figure any man would be jealous of, and one he never wanted to stop touching. “God, I’ve missed you.”

Pressing against his lush mouth, he sucked in his bottom lip. Tim’s erection pushed on his own. Sweet heavens. He longed to spin him around, shove him against the wall, and fuck him until he burst. Instead, he dropped to his knees and gripped his lover’s cock, running his thumb along the slick slit.

Tim quivered under his touch. “And I’ve missed you, too.” He leaned back, thrusting his stiff dick toward him.

Teasing his swollen head with his tongue, Will tasted his lover’s salty fluid. A flavor he could never get enough of. And after they took down Planet Core the next day, he could have his fill whenever he wanted. He wouldn’t have to hide his love for another man.

Gripping his lover’s velvety flesh, he swallowed him whole.

Commonly Asked Questions:

  • What’s your book about?

The Underground series is about a group of rebels who band together to bring down the corporation, Planet Core, that runs the city. They are fighting for their freedom to live and love.

  • Where did you get the idea for this book?

The first story in the series, Never Gonna Let You Go, was inspired by a story I started in my high school Science Fiction English class. It’s changed a lot since the original, though. And Earth 2, a television show I watched as a kid may have inspired this story a bit, too.

  • What traits and other tidbits do you share with your main character?

That’s a difficult question. There are six main characters in this series, and I share different personality traits with each of them. Loyalty, and standing up for what I believe is right would be two main things I share with many of them.

  • Did any of your inspiration for this book originate in your real life experiences?

I wouldn’t say my own experiences, but the continuous fight I see many face for equality.

  • Does your book take place in a specific region that would make people take an interest?

The Underground series takes place in the future. While it is very different from our own world, there are some beliefs, flora, and fauna that resembles the way things are now.

  • Do you have another project in the works? If so, what is it?

I have several projects in the works at the moment. I’m writing an F/F space academy story (still untitled) for an anthology that will be out later this year. I’ve also started the third story in my Alien Next Door series, Alien Attraction, plan to finish Always Her Wingman, which I started last year, as well as write the first story in my Alien Generations series, a series about three different generations of female aliens living on Earth.

Excerpt:

At the whoosh of the space shuttle flying overhead, the feline on Ro’sa’s knee hissed before jumping to the floor. Ro’sa hurried to the front of the house, pressing her palms and nose against the window. Somewhere in that ship was her betrothed, the prince from Earth she would marry.

Ka’lyn, her best friend, squeezed in beside her, claiming the rest of the available window space. “What do you think he looks like? I’ve never seen anyone from Earth before. Maybe he has two heads, or one eye….” She nudged Ro’sa’s side. “Two cocks?”

“Ka, really?” Flaring heat rushed to Ro’sa’s cheeks and temporarily paused the fluttering of firetubes in her stomach. In seven rotations, she would say good-bye to her home, her family, and all of her friends to be with a complete stranger. She’d grown up knowing this time would come, but it had always seemed so far away. Until he’d arrived. Ro’sa swallowed her nerves. “His people just recently joined the Confederacy. I think the only reason they were invited was to prevent an intergalactic war when they learned of the existence of life beyond their own solar system.” They’d already destroyed most of their planet. Who knows what they would have done had the Confederacy not intervened?

Ka’lyn grabbed her shoulders and turned Ro’sa to face her. “I know all this, but what do they look like?”

“Humanoid, like us.” She searched her memory for the few Terran dignitaries she’d met. “But their skin is different shades of brown, from nearly white to almost black.” Though she had no idea where her betrothed fit into the spectrum, never having been allowed to travel to Earth. How she wished she had. If her parents had allowed them to meet earlier, she’d have far fewer worries and much more experience with how to interact with those from Earth, and with her betrothed. She’d retained her virginity for him, the only female her age on the planet who hadn’t experienced sex, though she hoped to know what it was like before she left for Earth.

“Weird. So, when do you get to meet him?”

“Tonight.” Ro’sa returned her gaze out the window, watching the shuttle descend onto the runway. Had the prince saved himself for her? “There’s an official introduction ceremony where we will shake hands and eat our first meal together.”

“That’s crap.” Her friend tugged on her fingers. “Let’s go meet him as he’s coming off the ship.”

Ro’sa shook her head, yanking her hand away. “I can’t. I have to follow protocol.”

“Then we’ll hide in the shrubs. Don’t you want to check him out before you’re introduced to him in front of everyone?”

Biting her bottom lip, Ro’sa watched the spacecraft disappear below the treetops. “I guess.” Then she wouldn’t look like a fool in her first reaction to him. She could hold her emotions in check, having already caught sight of the prince.

“Let’s go then.” Ka’lyn stood at the door before she had the chance to move.

They left her friend’s home behind. Darting through the woods on the packed dirt path, Ro’sa hoped they’d make it to the runway in time.
