It’s good to be a writer! Today, I’ve signed my third publishing contract with Evernight for the erotic interracial romance Mine to Love (Hot Model Mine #2), and yesterday, I submitted my erotic short story Come Aboard to Insatiable Press 🙂

I’m very, very excited to be writing the last few pages of my sixth story, Mine to Love, book #2 of the Hot Model Mine series. It’s been a long, winding journey due to having many parallel projects (and a life!) but I’m finally getting there.

This is the sequel to The Perfect Shoot, for those of you who remember that one 🙂

The writing conference in sunny Cannes was fantastical, a dream. Back at home, reality catches up with author Andrea Johnson and the sexy cover model of her book, Yushka. Oh, the nerve, for a writer to go from basic, rosy, commonly accepted m/f romance to inserting a hint of m/m action into a dirty crime thriller, and then overnight, just because testing new grounds becomes irresistible, diving straight into naughty, dripping multi-partner and multi-gender erotica!

The subject touches me. We’re talking about basic human rights. I usually try to respect everyone’s right to have an opinion, but opinions that hurt or scorn another person for any stupid reason light my fuse.

I started writing my erotic multi-partner novel High-Risk Fever in March 2013. At the time, it was just intended to be a sexy story, but the influence of real-life events caused it to be so much more. The ongoing Marriage for all debate in France, with its massive demonstrations and furious arguments on all sides of the political spectrum, was seriously bugging my mind and plaguing my conscience. It was constantly on the news, my surroundings kept bringing up the topic, and I tired myself out arguing and condemning. When the debate reached the grotesque point of questioning gays, lesbians, and bisexuals’ rights to have children, I decided keeping my opinion private wasn’t enough. I had to do something more concrete and lasting on a public arena. My erotica novel became my channel, and I used every opportunity offered by the plot to voice my GLBT-related messages.

So the book isn’t only “hot, hot, hot” as one reviewer said, it’s also an angry socio-political statement!
